Boots on the Trail

Yesterday, Boots on the Trail was out on Hickory Trail at Stroud's Run State Park. We had 8 veterans who chose to give back their time to their community by maintaining the trails of Southeast Ohio. If you are a veteran, we hope you can make it out sometime.

Also, we will be having our family and friends summer potluck on June 28th this year. We have those details on our events page on our website and Facebook.

Today, as we remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, Boots on the Trail is proud to be set up in downtown Athens for the Memorial Day Parade.

We’re located by the courthouse and would love to meet fellow veterans, supporters, and anyone wanting to learn more about what our group is doing throughout Southeast Ohio.

Boots on the Trail is about veterans helping veterans, building camaraderie, and staying connected through the outdoors, community involvement, and support.

If you’re at the parade today, stop by and say hello. We’re always looking to meet new veterans and help spread awareness about the group and its mission.

Never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Boots on the Trail was working on the Buckeye Trail at Burr Oak State Park yesterday, clearing the trails for the hikers, and helping us clear our minds while out on the trail.
