Real Talk, I didn't understand the importance of data when we first started. I thought of it as a "distraction" from the "real work." It feels silly to say now, as I can see data is grown out of, and braided into, everything about this work and all of the many connections therein. It shows us everything we need to know about ourselves, even if we don't like it or it's hard to look at.. It is much like our personal lives... if we want to make changes, look inward first; get clear about who you do (or don't) want to be... then get to work.

But I will say, numbers on spreadsheets really do make me a bit crazy. So, at (fiscal) year end, I made it a little prettier to look at. The whole thing is 5 minutes and the last, almost half, is a video short Olive made. It was at the request of a participant who we helped get her Hep C treated, and she was successfully cured entirely. She was one of the first people Olive connected with deeply. She went to Every. Single. Appointment with her. It was beautiful to watch, a connection that Olive later dubbed "Curb Logic", that much trust and healing grew out of... in Shelby's time, of course.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Hey y’all — Olive here, your friendly neighborhood naloxone (Narcan) nerd.

I was fondly reminiscing about my high school emo phase when I realized — I might get to see you tomorrow! I know you didn’t forget about our training tomorrow, right? Oh, you already had it in your planner for 11am, good! (If not, here’s your sign. 😘)

Anyway — emo or not, mild panic is only cute when you’re 17 and playing that new new CD on repeat. Not so cute when someone you love needs you to know what the hell to do in an opioid overdose event.

‼️ Tomorrow at 11AM, we’re hosting a free Overdose Education, Prevention, and Response training — We’ll cover:
• How to actually recognize an opioid overdose (not like the fearful “news” stories or TikTok hooks make it seem)
• How naloxone (Narcan) really works — (real) big antidote energy
• What to do if you don’t have naloxone on hand when it happens (hint: you are NOT helpless)
• What the Good Samaritan Law protects (and what it doesn’t so you can help advocate for stronger protections to save lives)
• How regular people like us fought for naloxone access — and why it’s still pretty rad that you can carry it around

➕ Plus: this month, we’re going deeper into who’s at risk, how to actually help reduce stigma and keep our loved ones safer. You’ll probably-definitely make friends because that’s how we roll. Definitely-definitely leave with more courage and compassion. So, to recap:

🗓 TOMORROW
🕚 11AM
📍 183 Paradise Blvd. Suite 108, Athens, GA 30607

Free, fun, big life-saving energy. Hope your face is here ❤️

With love from Paradise Blvd,
Olive

🌲 Merry merry from Paradise Blvd. 🌲

It doesn’t snow here this time of year, but we find miracles all the same—in open hearts and tender moments, in the way we reach out when someone is struggling. It’s not the most magical time of the year for everyone, at least not every year. Even so, we’re here, riding on hope as a discipline in not-so-ordinary times.

We know it’s been a minute since we’ve kept you posted with a hefty recap, but yes, we’re still here—day in and day out, every service day, every week, doing the work we love. It’s been an overwhelming season (honestly, year), but we’ve got so much to share as we head into the Bermuda Triangle of time between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Keep an eye out later this week for our year-end newsletter. We’ll share a couple participant stories that have been especially close to our hearts, remembering a few we lost and holding space for all of you who are grieving someone this holiday season.

We’ll also include overdose prevention tips, because this season can be risky for those we love most—different supply, lower tolerance, and isolation can all take a toll. We want you to stay safe, stay warm, and keep you and your people breathing in and out.

For now, here’s a little video of some bits from the holiday week.

Sending love to each of you, wherever you are,

Your Access Point Fam ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤
