The Reading Rainbow Collective is back for the 2026/2027 school year! We’re looking for K–5th grade students who want to strengthen their reading skills and build confidence—and volunteers who are ready to help make a difference.

Become a Pre-K Reading Mentor at the ELC (East)!

What's ecpected of the Reading Mentor:
* Read one on one with assisgned student(s)
* Complete a literacy activity
* Build a meaningful relationship with a young reader

Commitment:
*Weekly assisgnments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, &/or Thursdays for the entire school year
*Complete the CCSD Background Check

Family Promise of Athens will be accepting Rental Assistance Application Today 9/9 and Thursday 9/10 from 10AM-2PM

You have id, social security card or birth certificate, children in Clarke County

Walk-in hours: open for families to speak with a social worker about referrals, supplies, resources during second and fourth Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM - 2 PM.

A representative is available on Wednesdays from 10AM - 2PM to assist with benefits applications including SNAP, CAPS, and Medicaid
