Chauncey Mayor Frank Campbell told the Independent he was "very frustrated" that an anti-discrimination ordinance wasn't repealed at last week's Chauncey Village Council meeting, which drew over 50 people. After over 20 members of the public spoke, the council voted to retain the ordinance, which protects employment, housing, and public accommodation on the basis of gender, sexuality, age, marital status, and other classes.
“Unfortunately, what happens in the end is, it didn’t benefit a single person,” he said. Coverage through the link in comments.
