Paul The Cat Guy Saving and improving the lives of homeless cats and kittens in NYC. Then one can turned into two, then four, then six each night. That was in August 2014.

It began by feeding a single can of cat food to a couple of cats by a set of co-op buildings in Astoria, Queens. Before I knew it, I was caretaking a colony of cats and that is how I began my quest. Wanting to do something to help them, within a few months I began Trap-Neuter-Return of those cats along with rescuing a litter of four kittens from one of the females I was feeding. Since then, I have been actively responding to reports of kittens in alleyways, colonies of unfixed cats in back yards, homeless friendly cats, and other cat-related situations. Since August 2014 I have directly saved or improved the lives of over 5000 cats and kittens through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), kitten rescue and adoptions, and the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of thrown out and abandoned adult cats. ADOPT FIP WARRIOR STELLA!

STELLA is 2 years old, I rescued her as a kitten. The reason i've had her for so long is that around the 5 or 6 month mark she developed ocular FIP. Through an 84 day treatment plan along with an observation period, her eyes became clearer and she gained her size and energy back.

Now it's time to get her adopted!

She can be adopted as a single or to a home with a resident cat depending on the situation.

ANOTHER WEEK, ANOTHER $3000+ SPENT

I'm posting another fundraiser with hopes I can recoup the money i've spent or will spend this week.

Food order: $1200

Paying off outstanding balance at AVG: $600

Several new cats and kittens at the vet this week: $600

One cat hospitalized for the week: $1000+

I sound like a broken record but please help out the organization.

There's literally a super tiny amount of people in NYC doing TNR regularly. Appointments at low cost places aren't to be found and the ones at a discount still run $125-$400/cat depending on the services. TNR is literally my specialty, I do what so many others don't or won't do: trap entire yards and blocks of feral cats to sterilize, set up in multiple locations, each and every week.

Besides the uptick in spay/neuter costs, the smack of medical bills and cats needing care in foster have been pulling me away from TNR. I am trying my best to get these cats the medical they need and post them from morning til night to get them adopted.

NOBODY WANTS REMY

Guys, I have a million black cats, and they've been getting adopted as slow as molasses the past few months. For adoption groups it would be fine but, as a high volume rescuer, I keep saving more and more cats, and many are black.

REMY is a little over a year old, neutered, and fully vetted. He stays out and about and is very comfortable in all rooms in my apartment. He can be a little standoffish with people sometimes but also enjoys pets. He is not a snuggle bug but deserving of a proper forever home.

If you have zero cats, one cat, or two cats, consider adopting REMY. Not only to support my rescue but to have a healthy, handsome guy who wants to be fed and happy.

HARD TO ADOPT CAT IN NEED OF A HOME: CHIMI

CHIMI is a beautiful petite girl a little over a year old. She is spayed and fully vetted.

I rescued her along with her siblings as 7 week old kittens. They were not the easiest nor the hardest kittens to work with. However with so many cats and kittens available for adoption, CHIMI is one of the ones who has been passed over.

She can be skittish at times, unsure of what you'd like to do on approaching her. At the same time, she raises her butt in the air when she's pet, before scampering off. She has potential to be a human loving cat but she may stay as the independent girl that she currently is.

She gets along with other cats and is often laying together with others on blankets or on top of dressers.

MOM AND KITTENS RESCUE

This beautiful girl once had a home. Not too long ago her owners put her outside and closed their door. She would sit at the door trying to get in but they never let her back in. A nearby resident saw this day after day and then one day her collar was removed. The homeowners even told the resident she could come take the cat. Once she saw two kittens with her she contacted me.

I did this quick morning rescue before getting ready to go to work. The kittens are skittish so I drop trapped them all together. I have no idea what to do with the kittens as we have zero socializers and no fosters currently. At least they're safe and off the street.

More cats = more food, litter, cleaning supplies, and eventual spays/neuters.

We are committed to adopting out and placing our own cats; we do not hand off all of our cats to other rescue groups to place the burden on them. ADOPT SUSHI 🍣

It looks like SUSHI'S eye scarring has scared off any applicants. That's unfortunate because I have a handful of cats who ended up with scarred eyes after battling URIs.

SUSHI is a very, very friendly 2 year old boy. He is fixed and fully vetted. I wish all of my cats were as friendly as he is.
