Knappa Schools Foundation

Knappa Schools Foundation Knappa Schools Foundation The Knappa Schools Foundation (KSF) was founded in 1997. To date those scholarships total over $430,750.

Knappa School District had recently become independent from Columbia 5J and community leaders were intent on seeing the district be successful. Out of that concern, which reflected the sentiment of the entire community, KSF was born. KSF Mission Statement is “To provide resources to enhance education and encourage individual success for the students of Knappa Schools.” Now in its 25th year, KSF, w

ith the help of the community, has been very successful in efforts to improve the quality of education in our community. Funds raised through the annual dinner and auctions have been used in a three-point approach to fulfilling our mission statement. First, KSF awards scholarships each year to deserving students entering that critical first year of post-secondary education. Secondly, KSF awards mini-grants to encourage innovation in the classroom and provide teacher's access to items not possible through normal district budgets. Total mini-grant awards has exceeded $550,000. Lastly, KSF continually invests portions of the fundraising revenue since its inception. Foundation assets now total over $1,800,000. These invested assets will be enhancing and encouraging Knappa schools and students into perpetuity.

Hi everyone, I thought I would show you all this beautiful metal art that Ted Messing made for the auction this year. I’ve been with the Foundation for about 25 years, and he has been a dedicated donor for as long as I can remember. Many thanks Ted! I actually think it looks pretty good in my house🤠
