Mission: pairing veterans with service dogs

Soldiers and Dogs is a non profit organization with the goal of su***de prevention among veterans of all eras who may suffer from PTSD, depression, isolation and other issues. Watch for upcoming educational events in our area on what we do and why we do it. This is also a way to reach out to the spouse, family and friends of those who may be afflicted.

We are lining up interviews for a promotional video to be shot at the headquarters of S&D June 16 at 9 AM. If you have a special story or testament to what one of the dogs has done for you or a family member, we do not want to miss your input. Please respond by messenger if you would like to add a quote, pictures or give a testimony on June 16. The purpose for this is to help spread awareness to those who may need and don’t know about our services. Thank you in advance!

📣 Seeking marketing company to work with us on a short video highlighting our mission. This video would be used to raise awareness of veteran su***de and our mission to combat it. Good news for Ruby. She has retired after few years of going to schools, meetings and nursing homes to make everyone's day just let them pet her. She made every ones day. She has gone to an older Veteran who is 100% disabled and needed a friend and companion. They are the perfect match and she will also get all the attention and pampering she deserves. I called today to see how its going. He loves her and took her to church this morning. She is now a Baptist lol. Already miss her but know they will be good for.each other. His daughter said she has given him a purpose now and all he can talk about.

We want to express our sincere appreciation for two of our founding board members who have passed on- Pastor David Beerbower and just recently, Jim Bugg. Their love of veterans and dogs, prayers and encouragement were invaluable. Each of their legacies live on through this mission.
