This past week, 40 + athletes in grades K-8 practiced offensive fundamentals, played fun games, and had positive interactions with High School athletes at basketball camp. Go Cougars! 🏀🐾

Day one of youth camp was a success! Athletes in grades K-8 worked on ball handling, shooting form, and finishing moves. They also played fun games, and had positive interactions with High School players! Go Cougars! 🏀

This is a friendly reminder that tomorrow’s youth camp will be held in the elementary gym tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week. Session one will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM, and will be for athletes entering grades K-2. Session two will be held from 10:30-11:30 AM and will be for athletes entering grades 3-5. Session three will be held from 12-1:30 PM and will be for athletes entering grades 6-8.

Please enter through the front doors and check in with Coach McClay outside of the elementary gym in the Commons Area. Also, please plan on picking your child up through the front entrance. Register for our upcoming summer youth basketball camp!

This year’s camp will be held in three different sessions on Tuesday, May 26th, Wednesday, May 27th, and Thursday, May 28th. Session 1 will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM for athletes entering grades K-2. Session 2 will be held from 10:30-11:30 AM for athletes entering grades 3-5. Session 3 will be held from 12:00-1:30 PM for athletes entering grades 6-8.

Camp includes interactions with High School basketball players, skill development, competitive drill work, ball handling, team work, competitions, live play, and fun! It was a great weekend for the youth basketball program. The second grade team experienced an exciting preseason varsity game and all athletes grades 2-6 had the opportunity to participate in a monthly youth clinic with the JV and Varsity team this morning. Go Cougars! 🏀

Come out and support the team! 🏀🐾

Cougar Nation: the boys have been working very hard the last few weeks, and have been competing and playing very good team basketball in recent scrimmages. Please join us for a pre season “Foundation Game” vs. the Seneca East Tigers!

While the game will not count towards either team’s record, there will be a very “game like” atmosphere. The game is open to the public, and the price of admission is a canned good! Let’s pack the stands and give the 2025-2026 Cougars our full support!

Tonight and Tuesday we had our October youth clinic. The purpose of this clinic was to assemble teams for our winter “Rise Above It” league, have fun, and learn the fundamentals of the game. Go Cougars 🐾🐾

This is a friendly reminder to please turn in your youth forms by the end of this week to either the Elementary or Middle School office if your child plans on attending the October clinic/ representing Crestview this winter!

Basketball season is approaching soon!

We will be holding a clinic in the High School gym on Tuesday, October 21st and Thursday, October 23rd to gauge interest for the Ashland “Rise Above It” league. Grades 2-4 will be held from 5:00-6:15 PM and grades 5-6 will be held from 6:30-8:00 PM.

This form will be coming home with every boy in grades 2-6 if it hasn’t already. If your son is interested in representing Crestview this winter in the Ashland “Rise Above it League,” please fill out this form and return to the school ASAP.

Your son should plan to attend at least one of the clinics, but both are encouraged! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Coach McClay at (740)-358-2181 or [email protected].

Grades 3-6 camp was a success! The past three days athletes in grades 3-6 learned about the importance of teamwork, had positive interactions with High School athletes, competed, and HAD FUN!
