To every single person who has prayed, encouraged, given, and stood with us this past year while we planted this church… thank you. Truly. We would not be here without you.

This past Sunday was our very first official service, and we are still in awe. God showed up in amazing ways.

341 people joined us.
27 people said yes to Jesus.
Lives were changed forever.

Our Special Needs Ministry also launched, and it went so beautifully with an incredible turnout. Watching families be welcomed, seen, and cared for meant more than we can put into words.

What we witnessed on Sunday was the fruit of so many prayers prayed behind the scenes. Your prayers matter. Your support mattered. And it is only the beginning.

We are so incredibly thankful for the love and support surrounding us. Huge thank you to Lifepoint for your friendship, prayers, and constant encouragement. Thank you to Carpenter Shop Church for welcoming Jordan to preach and for standing with us so faithfully. And we are so grateful for Central Virginia Church for having Jordan and for your continued prayers and support.

It has been such a gift to watch the Body of Christ come together. We truly feel blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people. Your love, support, and encouragement have carried us through every step of this journey.

March 1st, here we come! We could not do this without each and every one of you who has prayed and sown seeds into The Oaks. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

As we prepare to launch The Oaks Church, we’re working hard to create a space where every person feels seen, welcomed, and loved from our littlest kids to those with special needs and everyone in between.

We’ve put together an Amazon Wishlist with many of the items needed to get our ministries ready including supplies for our Special Needs Ministry, kids’ spaces, and more. While not everything we need is listed, we are also in need of toys for all ages and classroom activities, which will help us create fun, safe, and engaging environments for our children.

🌟 Church Launch Update! 🌟

Hey everyone! We know it’s been a little while since our last update, we’ve been hitting the ground running and staying busy as we prepare for launch! God is moving in incredible ways, and we’re so excited to share some of what’s been happening!

We’ve now grown to 60 adults (over 90 with kiddos!) on our launch team, and we’re blown away by how God continues to build His church through faithful people saying “yes.”

We’ve also been so blessed by other churches who have come alongside us in this season:

• The Gathering Church in Mississippi generously provided travel cases for our Kids Ministry

• The Carpenter’s Shop Church in Ahoskie, North Carolina opened their doors and let us print all of our Kids Ministry materials for the entire year

• Lifepoint Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia donated our Kids Ministry wall dividers, helping us create a fun and safe space for our little ones

We’re so thankful for these incredible churches and the way the Body of Christ comes together to support new works for the Kingdom.

Time for a little update! We had our second interest meeting this past Saturday and had 15 people join our launch team! We have another one October 5th and then our first team training night October 19th so be praying for us. The Lord has showed up in some big ways this week, we were able to purchase a box truck for our equipment! So that’s a huge first step. Thank you all for the love and support and prayer! Keep it going The Lord is on the move.

Yesterday we hosted our very first Interest Social here in Ashland and what a day it was! 🥳 Despite the heat, it was such a full and encouraging time. We got to meet new faces, pray with people, and hear so much excitement about a new church coming into the area.

Several filled out connection cards, and a few even said they are all in and ready to be part of this journey with us already! That fills our hearts with so much joy and hope for what God is doing here. 🌳

It was a hot day, but so worth it. These pictures show just how exhausted everyone was by the end (and if you happen to see our older two in these photos… shhhhh, don’t let them know you saw them! 😂).

A huge thank you to our amazing friends who helped us make yesterday happen, we truly couldn’t have done it without you.

We are so thankful for everyone who prayed, showed up, and supported us. The Oaks is just getting started, and we can’t wait to see what’s ahead!
