Pup N Purr Rescue Vision & Mission

We're a 501c3 nonprofit who specializes in rescuing animals from high-kill shelters in North Carolina.

Our goal is to bring animals and humans together to create forever, sacred bonds. We believe when the perfect match is made, animals and humans have the ability to heal each other. Loving the unwanted, we work to show how important each and every one of us is, animals and humans alike. The Founder

Fia has spent her entire life loving and helping animals. It all started at the age of two with her

fluffy Himalayan kitty, Froufrou. Since then she has gained a bachelors degree in animal science, worked at a veterinary clinic in California, completed an internship at a veterinary clinic in Australia, volunteered at an animal sanctuary and butterfly farm in the Amazon, along with a wolf sanctuary in Colorado, and rescued/re-homed countless animals along the way. Her goal is to ensure each rescue will be safe and never end up in a shelter again for the rest of their lives. Fia has three dogs and two cats of her own and will never stop helping animals in need.

✨BRAXTON✨ has been waiting over a year for his forever! 🥲

Our precious boy Braxton is STILL waiting on his forever which makes absolutely no sense!

Braxton is such a good boy and anyone would be lucky to have him

Braxton is around 2 years old, a chunky man with a disproportionate tail for his stout frame 🥰 He is VERY quiet, I don’t think I’ve ever heard him Meow in the entire year that I’ve been fostering him! He is great with both cats and dogs (see video) and he is quite calm for his age! He has short moments of play that last maybe a minute or two. He likes to spend time up high (cat towers or on top of the fridge) but he mostly loves to cuddle with his foster siblings! We would love to find him a home with another kitty for him to bond with. He does well with both males and females in the house and he enjoys grooming and being groomed by them! He was seen just a few weeks ago for a check up and he does extremely well at the vet as well. He sat in my lap and hid his face in my arms 🥹

✨RILEY✨ update!

Riley (who was rescued last year) went on an adventure today for a hike in the woods! She is a very happy girl in her same foster home and had a check up last week at Goldsboro Vet. She still has tons of energy even at her age and we’re so happy we have finally found someone to help take her on adventures once a week!

✨Bonded sisters Mae and Maeve are still waiting so patiently for their forever!✨

Mae and Maeve were rescued last year from a high kill shelter. They had one day to find a rescue before they would have been euthanized. They are the sweetest most perfect kitties ever and we can’t believe they haven’t been adopted yet!

Mae is ✨extremely✨ affectionate! She will sleep on top of you, sit in your lap, and has never love bit me or scratched me. She loves playing with her sister and they get the zoomies a few times a day. Mae is currently sitting in my lap as I type this*

Maeve is more independent of the two but also very sweet! She prefers to spend more time with her sister but also will sit close and make soft purrs when she is happy. They are both extremely easy happy healthy kitties.

They are shy at first with people so they need an adopter who is patient (literally just a few days) to see their personality come out. They are great with both cats and dogs.

Our sweet boys Figgy and Earl are officially adopted! 🎉

Our boys have been with their new family for a few weeks already and I couldn’t be happier for them! They have four human siblings and one pup sibling to play to their hearts content! They also have tons of room to roam around and of course most importantly - they get to stay together, forever!

After a very long dry spell of getting our kittens into their forevers, Gwendolyn and Sabrina have officially been ADOPTED! 🎉🎉🎉

Our sweet girls who have been with us for quite some time now have made it into their happily ever after! They’ve been with their new family for about two weeks already, they initially only intended to foster. But these two girls stole their hearts and I couldn’t be happier for them! They also have a new big tuxedo sister to have all the fun 🖤

NALA is in urgent need of a foster or foster to adopt home!

She is a husky mix around 7-8 years old.

She has had a really rough past few months and we want to get her into a better situation!

She is not fixed, and would love to go to a home with a man in the house!

She prefers male dogs over females
She has a high prey drive so NO CATS or small animals.

We have her spay scheduled for next week and she is otherwise a healthy girl!

✨MARMALADE✨ the most precious momma you ever did see is looking for her forever with one of her *babies*

Marmalade was living outside of someone’s property. When we went to pick her up the owners of the property mentioned that she had previously had a littler and that all of her babies had died, most likely eaten by wildlife 💔

Well fast forward to now and marmalade has proven to be the most loving precious doting momma cat I ever did see. We have two young kittens in the house with her, and she is equally attached to both. She makes cooing sounds until she finds one and literally cuddles and grooms them all day long. She grooms almost every cat in the household. She also waits to watch them eat and only starts eating until every other cat in the house is finished 😭 her demeanor is that of a perfect momma. Patient calm and loving

She deserves the 🌎 so we only want the best for this angel

Marmalade is ready to be adopted but we’re now requiring that one of her *babies* (not biological) is adopted with her. There is no way on any planet that we would have her not get to live her days out with one of her adopted babies after what she’s been through.

Her two babies are Tink (white and gray long hair female) andTrooper (black boy)

Tink is more playful and independent out of the two. One of her eyes is under developed so that’s something that we will have to monitor.

Trooper is very affectionate with marmalade and myself (his foster momma) his temperament so far is very calm and sweet just like marmalade. Of course that could change with time given how young he is.

Both babies are too young to be fixed, so we are looking for a foster to adopt home. We can’t decide who she’s more bonded to, so hopefully someone out there will be able to make that decision for us and give them that kitty dream life.

All three are cat and dog friendly and felv/fiv negative.

Bridgerton is officially ADOPTED! 🎉🎉🎉

After doing a few meet n greets and home trial runs this baby boy has finally found his forever! He has an older alpha sister which is exactly what he needed since he was taken away from his mom and siblings at way too young of an age. His new parents are the sweetest ever and they’re going to get him started on training with Gertrude Stomkin.

Thank you to his two foster moms who took such great care of him and to Gertrude for offering her amazing training skills! It really does take a village

❤️BRIDGERTON is looking for his forever!❤️

Hi I’m Bridgerton!

I’m a spunky little guy that is ready for my person! I’m about 3 months old, up to date on flea tick hw meds, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and will be neutered in a month when Ive grown a bit!

I was rescued when I was just a teeny tiny baby at just 3 weeks old! Because of that I am looking for a person or couple who will take the time to train me and be consistent with my routine!

I’m already potty trained and I love spending time in my crate! I sleep all the way through the night (yes, really!) from about 11pm-7am without having to take a potty break!

Because I was taken away from my mom and siblings at too young of an age, I need someone to work on teaching me that feet and hands are not toys! My rescue is offering 3 free training sessions with the amazing Gertrude Stomkin within the first month of adoption to help me to get started on the right track.

I’m a bulldog lab pittie mix 😻 and weigh about 25 lbs.

I do fine with both cats and dogs, but I need to be in a home with no small children.
