PFLAG x I Changed My Mind: Adrianne's Story
“It was a choice that in some ways wasn’t hard, because it was clear.”

Adrianne grew up in the heart of white nationalism, even coming out as a white nationalist on live television as a child and being considered the “heir apparent” of the movement. But everything changed when she went to college. She began to dismantle the ideology that she was brought up with, and eventually, renounced it. A few years later, she came out as transgender. In this episode of I Changed My Mind shares her story.

I Changed My Mind is a series of thought-provoking and inspiring conversations developed by filmmaker Brooke Sebold, produced in collaboration with PFLAG National, that centers parents, families, and LGBTQ+ individuals and their stories of transformation and courage to change and renew.

37 New PFLAG Chapters in FY2025!
From coast to coast, our PFLAG chapters are doing the most. This past fiscal year (October 2024-September 2025) saw an explosion of growth in our chapter network, gaining 37 new chapters for a combined 359 active chapters nationwide—a new record for chapter growth in PFLAG’s history!

This surge of demand for LGBTQ+ support—predominantly in rural areas—should come as no surprise considering all the legislative attacks we’ve seen this year. PFLAG is needed now just as much as we were 53+ years ago.
