One of the first schools The MOX Project visited in 2018 was in Flint, MI, not long after the Flint Water Crisis devastated the community and put all these little ones at risk. They were the sweetest students and everyone was so appreciative ... we couldn't think of a better way to begin to spread our wings as a nonprofit and watch what music education could do. If you know of a school or student that could benefit from some musical inspiration or funding assistance, please reach out!! πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ©΅πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ©΅

It was an honor to award private lesson scholarships to these *highly* talented string players for the '24-'25 school year! Private lessons are just one of many ways we put your donations to work bringing music to young people. If you know of a student in need - please let us know!
We applaud all your incredible work, Austin and Konrad! πŸ’ͺ🏼🎻

⭐️ARTIST SPOTLIGHT⭐️ meet Brendan Forrest! is an award-winning songwriter, composer, and educator originally from Chicago, now based in rural Southwest Colorado. He shines as a songwriter, virtuosic guitar-player, AND stellar teacher! Existing mainly in the bluegrass and folk world, his accolades include receiving the City of Chicago Individual Artist Grant and winning the John Lennon Songwriting Competition.

Brendan led a MOX-funded 2-day songwriting workshop in rural Colorado earlier this year that brought so much joy and musical exploration to the whole community. We are beyond thrilled to have him on the MOX roster! If you have a school or student that would be a good fit to work with Brendan, please let us know! 🎢
