Our next meeting promises to be wonderfully exciting. Please join us on Tuesday, October 20 at a great venue in Comfort, Ingenhuett on High, 731 High St. We will welcome a very interesting speaker focusing on the Texas novel, “8 Miles from the Front Gate” by Norma Schreiner, and we will hold an exciting raffle of the orignal painting, “Autumn Splendor”. And of course, there will be door prizes.
Please note, there will be a $25 charge for the meal. Our website currently shows this as free, but this is incorrect and will be updated soon. You MUST RSVP on our website www.hillcountrycattlewomen.org or by texting Sha @ 432-294-4583 or by email [email protected]

From Delores Castleberry:
What a great meeting today. Thank you for allowing me to talk about the Friends of the LBJ National Historical Park. I am attaching a flyer we are distributing. We still have tickets to sell. We also have an online silent auction that is already open for bidding which will close on September 26 at 9:00, when the event ends. You do not have to be present to win. Bidders will have to set up an account in order to purchase tickets or to bid on the auction.

Here's a Texas history fact that'll surprise you: between 1779 and 1782, Texas ranchers drove an estimated 10,000–15,000 head of cattle east to feed Gálvez's army — and by extension, the American Revolution. Some reports say beef even reached Washington's troops at Valley Forge!
