After some wonderful days with the Massachusetts delegation at Refugee Council USA Advocacy Days in Washington D.C. we’re back in Massachusetts.

A huge thank you to all the amazing people we met along the way. We’re hopeful, grateful, and energized for the fight ahead.

The future of Ukrainian refugees, not only MA, but the United States, is in our hands. 💙

Olga’s List is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit helping Ukrainian refugees. We have 1000 clients that rely on us in finding a job, learning English, and navigating food insecurity as a result of the decisions of the federal government.

Olga reflects on her trip to D.C. to Refugee Council USA Advocacy Days.

What’s clear is that the power is indeed still in the hands of the people that are willing to fight. It is our job to let our representatives know about the pains that refugees go through. We are their voice.

More money needs to be spent on humanitarian aid, to combat the troubles people are facing every day.

Stand with Ukrainian refugees, call your representatives, let your voices be heard.

We need your help!

On June 27th we’re throwing a huge Longest Table event in Boston, Olga’s Table. We’re inviting everyone that cares about helping Ukrainian refugees to come, bring a plate of food and share a meal with strangers, neighbors or friends. Longest Table events are all about building community and now we need ours.

Since 2023 we’ve dedicated ourselves to helping Ukrainian refugees. We’ve applied for countless grants and were lucky enough to secure a 3 year federal grant in 2023 that allowed us to operate. With that, and the generosity of the people around us we’ve been able to help around 1,000 Ukrainian refugees!

But now, this grant is coming to an end with no chance of reapplication. We’re the only ethnic-focused nonprofit centered around Ukrainian refugees operating the way we do. Without us, no specialized assistance catches our Ukrainian refugees.

All contributions at Olga’s Table will go toward keeping Olga’s List alive and helping our clients.

Another impactful day at Advocacy Days yesterday.

Olga had meetings at Senator Markey’s and Senator Warren’s offices. Both meetings went well and their teams showed knowledge and interest in our cause and story.

We’re hopeful that our push for the Ukrainian refugee community will ensure their safety, security, and prosperity in the United States.

During a run after a successful first day at Advocacy Days Olga met Congressman Paul Tonko!

An energizing day of Advocacy Days has come to a close.

We’re excited for to speak to legislators tomorrow and share our concerns and hopes with them.

Olga has arrived in D.C. and is taking part in Advocacy Days! She is there as a part of the Massachusetts congregation and will be advocating, not only for our Olga’s List clients, but Ukrainian refugees in the U.S. as a whole.

What a wonderful day at the museum!

Fifteen of our clients and staff visited the museum, admired the artwork, and shared a nice picnic together.

Outings like these are important to offer to our clients to strengthen community ties, reduce the chance of isolation, and give them opportunities to recover and grow.

Thank you to the Fuller Craft Museum and everyone who joined us.
