Shelters are full. Rescues are overwhelmed. More dogs need somewhere safe to go, and the animal welfare system is being stretched beyond its limits.

🐾 SUCCESS STORY: FROM A GARBAGE BOX IN KUWAIT TO A NEW LIFE IN AMERICA 🇰🇼✈️🇺🇸 🐾

Yesterday, Red and Ollie arrived all the way from Kuwait to Washington, DC, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome them to Daisy’s Legacy. 💛

Their story began under heartbreaking circumstances. Red and Ollie were two of eight newborn puppies found thrown away inside a box in the garbage in Kuwait. They were only days old and completely dependent on others to survive.

Thankfully, rescuers found them and gave them the chance they deserved. They grew from tiny abandoned puppies into sweet young dogs, and yesterday their journey brought them thousands of miles across the world to the United States. 🥹🐾

Ollie is a sweet, calm boy with a shy nature. He loves people and other dogs, is doing wonderfully with leash training, and rides calmly in the car.

Red is sweet, playful and curious. He loves people of all ages and has been doing great with his leash training. He is happiest as the only dog or with a compatible female dog.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone in Kuwait and the U.S. who helped save them, cared for them, coordinated their journey, transported them, fostered them, donated, shared their stories, and supported Daisy’s Legacy. International rescue takes a village, and this was only possible because so many people came together for them. ❤️

Woody may be tiny, but he has plenty of personality! He is an adorable, super friendly and sweet little pup who is looking for a loving family of his own. At only about 5 lbs, this little guy is the perfect pint-sized companion. ❤️

❄️ SNOW (NIKKI) — About 4 years old | Samoyed

Snow is a beautiful, friendly and happy boy looking for his forever home. We would especially love to find someone with Samoyed or similar breed experience who understands the needs of the breed and can give him the activity, care and companionship he deserves.

💛 SOLACE — 4 years old | English Cocker Spaniel

Solace is a handsome boy with a playful spirit and a big heart! He is house-trained, affectionate, and loves running, playing and chasing balls. Once he gets to know you, he becomes an incredibly loving and loyal companion.

Solace can be unsure around some new people, so he needs a patient adopter who will give him time to warm up and continue building his confidence. His ideal home would be quiet, adults-only, with a securely fenced backyard and fewer visitors.

He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and has had his cherry eyes repaired. 🐾

✈️💛 Help Red Fly to DC—and Find His Family!

Our partner rescue in Kuwait is overwhelmed and has reached out for help. Red has an opportunity to fly to Washington, DC on September 25, but he needs a committed foster or adopter before he can come!

Red is a handsome, 1-year-old mixed-breed boy weighing about 24 lbs. He and his seven siblings were rescued as newborns after being abandoned in a box in the garbage. His beginning was heartbreaking, but his next chapter can be full of love. ❤️

Sweet, playful, and curious, Red enjoys people of all ages, including children. He has a medium energy level and would love a family to explore the world with, enjoy walks, and discover all the comforts of home.

He is doing well with leash training, rides calmly in a crate in the car, and is kennel trained. His caregivers describe him as not destructive and not much of a barker. An apartment could suit him, too!

🐾 Red would be happiest with a compatible female dog or as your one-and-only. He has not been tested with cats.

He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped—now he just needs someone to welcome him home.
