Mission : To foster leadership in the LGBT Latinx community of the Washingron Metropolitan area to enhance its quality of life.

It is not a secret that Northern Virginia lack programs and services that are sensitive and cultural competent to address and take care of the needs of our Latinx LGBTQ community. As Impacto LGBT, an independent group, we strongly believe that the only way that can be chang

ed is by creating it ourselves. It is time we come together as one community to make the change we want to see, even if that means starting from scratch. A group of us members of the Latinx LGBT community of Northern Virginia have gathered because we are not only aware of the need of our community in this region but have decided to stop just talking and complaining about it, take the lead, take charge, responsibility and action. We need programs, organizations and movements led by LGBT individuals. It is time we become visible and speak up! It is time to come out of the shadows and address our needs as Latinxs LGBT who reside, work, have families and pay taxes in Virginia. It is time we show our LATINX LGBT FACES and stop being invisible to become invencible. Please join me- join us in this challenging but amazing journey; it is time to make it happen and most importantly we can do the impossible possible if we join hands, energy, ideas and love together! Felicitaciones a nuestra querida compañera Gala Valencia 🌈💜

Hoy celebramos con orgullo y alegría el merecido reconocimiento a Gala Valencia, una mujer valiente, solidaria y comprometida con la lucha por la igualdad y la dignidad de todas las personas, especialmente de las mujeres trans de nuestra comunidad en el área del DMV.

Su entrega, su voz y su ejemplo han sido una fuente de inspiración para muchas personas que día a día enfrentan desafíos, pero también sueñan con un futuro donde podamos vivir con respeto, amor y libertad.

Gracias, Gala, por tu incansable trabajo, por abrir caminos, tender puentes y recordarnos que la verdadera transformación comienza con el amor y la empatía. 🌹✨
