And here it is - the Amazon Wish List for Anna's Hope Veterinary Clinic - there is a huge variety of items on here - only 2 really high priced items which we call "Dream Wish List Items" I had 3 people call and leave messages today asking when I was going to get the list posted - so here it is - any item ordered off this list is very appreciated and just allows us to continue ordering all the "vet" supplies - which we just had over 10,000.00 worth of veterinary supplies delivered this week and more coming next week - as we are getting closer and closer to opening - a couple of set backs with me having major surgery and losing my Dad but he would want me to push full steam ahead to get this clinic up and running as he was so proud of what we have accomplished and what this clinic is going to mean to so many people and their pets.

I had also mentioned that we had a pretty big donation match coming and that is still coming but I have had several people call and want to donate towards it so as soon as I have those figures I will post as we will have already met some of the match which does not happen very often but I have learned that people are excited to see us open and these funds will be used as part of our Community Fund because even though our prices are going to be very very reasonable - there will be still be families that need a little extra help and we want that fund to be fully funded right off the start.

We will be moving equipment in this weekend so stay tuned for pictures this weekend

And I had mentioned about filling that long hallway with pictures of YOUR pets - our rescue families pets - stay tuned for more on that as that is going to be part of the donation match.

And location, hours, etc will all be posted by the end of next week and the expected opening date. Lots and lots still going on behind the scenes but what is going on is making a dream a reality .

And wait until you meet our team - A DREAM TEAM without a doubt and we will be introducing them in the next week

Again, any item off this list is appreciated very much.

And yes - you are not seeing things - we did a name change and again for those that have asked and missed the post - we will still rescue but not until we get the clinic up and running and then I see some "underdogs" coming to us for a 2nd chance.

There have not been many posts lately - as most of you that follow my personal page - you know that after a long courageous battle with cancer - we lost my Dad on May 24th after moving him to the hospice house 6 days before that. This was by far one of the hardest things I have ever went through in my life but as I promised him, myself and my Mom were right by his side when he took his last breaths. Grief is a hard thing to explain - some days I just cry, some days I am so angry that I am scrubbing paint off my walls - what do you do with all these emotions - I am not sure but just taking it day by day

Regardless he would want me to push on - there is no doubt I get my stubborn streak from him - he was beyond proud of the new clinic opening and loved to see the pictures of all the progress and my heart hurts badly that he will not be here to see it open but I know he will be watching and pushing me through this final stretch because even though all I want to do is get the zoo taken care of and go back to bed - that is not an option - lots of stuff to finish up and get this clinic open.

You are going to see some changes to our page in the next week - and as I had mentioned before we will be sharing a fundraiser to help us build the fund to help families that are struggling with vet care costs and even though our prices are going to be very affordable - lets face it - we are living in some tough times (and yes there will be a process to obtain free vet care through our clinic) and little did I know that we were going to have a very very generous donor wanting to do a donation match because they believe in what we are doing - so more to come on that this week and also we will be posting our Amazon Wish List for the clinic - as many have asked about that. There have been zero loans taken out to start this venture - the funds have come from mine and Todds pocket , some very generous businesses donating some of their services and some generous donors that wanted to be a part of helping people and their pets. And together we are doing that

To those that donated in memory of my father after reading his obituary on my personal page - thank you from the bottom of my heart - he was proud of everything Annas Hope Veterinary Clinic is going to stand for and I hope I continue to make him proud.

Much love to each of you - I can't promise a lot of posts in the next couple of weeks as I navigate through this grief but we continue to push on just the way he would have wanted us to.

Happy Monday Rescue Family - sharing our rescue wish list as we could use a few supplies - 70% of the time Mr. Todd and myself purchase all the supplies for The Wagner Zoo and for all the fosters - and to be quite honest sometimes I will be laying in the bed and at 2am I am doing an Amazon order because I remember we are out of something or a foster contacted me earlier that day.
This will be the last list we share for the rescue - as I mentioned we have a Amazon Wish List we will be sharing for the clinic in the next week or so - not that the rescue dogs are going anywhere or we are not going to bring more dogs in, but our main goal is to get the clinic up and running and not only provide affordable vet care and free vet care to those in need but to be able to provide pet supplies to those in need and Mr. Todd and myself will continue as we do most weeks and provide for all the pups and cats and kittens in the rescue.

And yes Mr. Pickles treats are again on the list - he has been getting a few extra due to a super duper watch dog and keeping eye out for the bear during the night - he claims those front windows in the living room and keeps watch :) And yes he is super proud of himself .

So any items off the list are appreciated - we just bought a full supply of dry food ourselves so that is not on the list but anything else listed is always needed and always appreciated.

Have a Great Monday

I went to the new clinic early this morning to help Mr. Todd unload some things. I looked down this hallway and took a deep breath. Alot of love has been poured into each of these rooms (including the 3 not pictured that are behind me ) I can say that having to have major surgery and then coming down with the flu was not in the plans but as the old saying goes " The show must go on" and it has - I logged over 100 hours on the phone last week and that does not include emails and in between dealing with our rescue dogs needing vet visits, medications, supplies and helping some families out with some much needed pet food. Mr. Todd leaves the house at 7am to go to work and works until 5 and then works on the clinic until usually after 9pm every night and the weekends it all day at the clinic. When people think big things for retirement , like beach houses, houses in the mountains - we thought hmm lets build a vets office - so yes this is our retirement - not because we are going to get rich but because we have poured all we got into making it an amazing clinic and yes we have had some amazing help along the way and proper thank you's will be posted as I start to share more.
I have had so many people calling and messaging me asking what they can do to help - and we have some things we are going to be posting soon. One thing is this long hallway - I think that hallway needs to be filled with pictures of our rescue families pets to help us start the fund that will be set aside for families that need financial help - we will be posting more on this soon.

The reality is that Boxer Butts & Other Mutts is going to phase over to the clinic - as I said we will still rescue , and we will be able to help more medical dogs, but we are going to keep our foster base small - we have some amazing fosters and we have found that sometimes people have good intentions of fostering but when the newness wears off , they are done and that puts us in a bind and that is not fair to us or the animal - but the long time fosters we do have are nothing short of amazing and we will continue to help the underdogs as that is always what we stood for.

Several people have mentioned an amazon list to help send things - we are working on that as well. As I told Mr. Todd last night - this clinic is owned by the people, the people that have supported us for 16 years, the community that has stood by us and seen us through the good times and the bad times. Together we are going to continue making a difference but in a much bigger way.

This week a lot of furniture, equipment, etc will be moving in - so my plan is to share more pictures this week - but I took one look down this hallway this morning and I think it hit me - this is much bigger than me and it has never been about me - it has and always will be about doing good - giving back as much as we can as we only have one life to live.

Hope everyone is having an amazing weekend

Wow - I took the time this morning to read through all your comments on our big announcement - the up and coming opening of Anna's Hope Veterinary Clinic and your support is amazing and very appreciated.

I will say this was not in the plans as neither Todd or myself are getting any younger and this has been a BIG project to say the least but when something is meant to be , it just happens. And after speaking to many people that I highly respect, I learned that a dream could become a reality. I remember thinking - well I wonder how Mr. Todd is going to take this news and when I told him - he said "Lets do it" And the big project began - and when I say lots and lots of hours have been poured into this - believe me - sometimes when we go to bed at night - I ask him if we are crazy 🙂 But we have had so many amazing people help us along the way with lots of volunteer work hours and some businesses when they have learned why we are contacting them for what we need done, have been so so supportive and each of them will have plaques up in our new clinic as their support is something we will never forget.

Many have asked the location - once we are closer to opening I will post that - I have already had someone show up at my house wanting me to spay their 2 cats (and yes they brought their cats ) and I have had so many phone calls that I could have booked us up for a month in just 4 days. And I know how it works - people just show up as I have dealt with that for 16 years at my home. So in the next few weeks we will post the location .

So many have asked how they can help - and we will posting ways you can help . Most everything thus far has been personally covered by myself and Mr. Todd and we have had some very generous donors that believed in this mission and wanted to help and in return we offered to dedicate one of the rooms in the clinic to whomever they wanted it dedicated to. We want to work on building our fund to help families that can't afford vet care even though our prices are going to be very reasonable - so we have come up with some creative fundraising ideas and will be posting that very soon. And I want to make it clear that this fund will not just be used for vet care at our clinic - for 16 years we have helped people all across the United States and that will not stop as our supporters are everywhere and we consider everyone of you family. We will continue to support other rescues as we have done for years. Those things will not change.

Many have asked about volunteering and we will have opportunities for that and will be posting that in the future as well.

For years, I have been on the receiving end of heartbreaking phone calls - families that could not save their pets due to financial restrictions, some we were able to help but sadly we could not help them all, senior citizens that were trying to decide which was more important , food for themselves or medicine that their pet needed, Families that were putting less food on their own table so they could feed their pets (yes we will have a pet food pantry as well) and the list goes on - so I decided you know we can make a difference , so why not do it and Anna’s Hope Veterinary Clinic became a reality.

I also want to give a HUGE shout out to Animals R Us Veterinary Clinic for their support. I worked with Dr. Beverly for many years and the support from her and her amazing staff is very appreciated.

And as I type, Todd is making another long trip to pick up another piece of equipment for the clinic. So hopefully later this evening we can sneak in a quick dinner for Mothers Day.

To all the Moms out there - Happy Mothers Day.

To all of you - thank you for your support and for believing in us. We are excited to continue giving back and giving our life more purpose ~Heidi ~
