I was introduced to this organization when I received an amazing Christmas gift of delicious cookies from them!

Their mission reminds me of that of Second Chance Inc., which also employs folks with barriers to employment.

All the cookies 🍪 I have tried are delicious and I’m so excited to have been introduced to this amazing company.

As I posted last night, I have made the decision to take down the website and dissolve the nonprofit for Coffee & Cocktails with MC.
I will still have this page and Instagram account!

Since the pandemic, I really haven’t been able to do much with it other than what I do via social media.
So, I don’t need the website to do that. Also, I don’t need a nonprofit.

This will make things much easier for me to manage, but still allow me the opportunity to do what I love, which is spreading the word and promoting locally owned small businesses.

After my medical emergencies in 2017, I wanted SO badly to be able to keep doing what I had always done. However, when the pandemic hit, and I could no longer do events, I realized what a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders because it was just too much.

There is still a lot that I CAN do. However, there is a lot that I cannot do, at least, not without a lot of help.

I feel very at peace with this decision!
I am actually kind of excited to be able to support small businesses organically, and on my own, as well as focus on my other passion, which is shining a light on people who do amazing things.
I do that on my Compliments & Commendations from MC page!

As I mentioned last night when I initially shared this, I cannot thank everyone enough for all of your support since I started this endeavor in late 2017!

Since the pandemic, when we stopped doing networking events, the nonprofit has really winded down.

The video interviews we did with business owners were not really that well received. 🤷‍♀️

Because MC can still use social media to help promote amazing locally owned small businesses (and she will continue to do so) we will be formally closing the nonprofit and shutting down the website in 2026.

It will take a few months, so we appreciate your patience during this process.

In the meantime, we still have branded T-shirts and wine glasses available if anyone would be interested!!
