🇲🇬 A Pearl in the Indian Ocean, Where Love Gathers as “Home.”
On Monday morning (May 4th), a gentle mist covered the vulnerable children campus in Madagascar. The children, dressed neatly in their uniforms, stood like young trees in the morning light. The solemn flag-raising ceremony, along with the national anthem and the Three Jewels song, echoed through the air—opening a week filled with love and joyful surprises.
🎁 A “Nut” Full of Love Across Miles
After 23 days away on a work trip, our “Headmistress Mom” finally returned! She not only brought back warm hugs, but also a special gift from Lilongwe, Malawi—a macadamia nut for each child.
These small nuts, which the children carefully cracked open themselves, carried love and connection across thousands of miles. Held in their hands and sweet in their hearts, they brought smiles as delightful as the local treat, Koba.
🌍 Love Across Borders, Preparing for the Journey
This song tells of Madagascar’s beauty, the laughter of children, and ACC as their sixth home—protecting and nurturing their growth.
🎉 Sneak Peek
Home is Home
Lyrics/Composition/Arrangement/Production: Yang Weihan
Madagascar
A beautiful country
Like a pearl set in the Indian Ocean
A paradise for all beings
How blessed we are
To grow up there
If fate allows
You are welcome to Madagascar
The gentle sound of the bamboo zither
Breaks the silence of the rice fields
Children’s laughter echoes
Sweet like Koba
Lemurs play in the forest
Baobab trees stand in the wind
If you hear Hiragasy
It is a tribute to the ancestors
Madagascar
ACC, our sixth home
Like the sun shining upon the earth
Accompanying children as they grow
How blessed we are!
To grow up there
The world is vast
Yet one name is enough to hold our hearts
Love has made Amitofo Care Center International’s campus in Madagascar a home without borders. Here, every seed is gently nurtured, waiting to bloom.
Thank you to every family member who has come from afar for making this “pearl of the Indian Ocean” shine with the warmest light. ✨

ACC Lesotho’s Mother’s Day Gratitude Message 🌸
With heartfelt gratitude to our long-time supporting donors.
At an altitude of 1,550 meters, upon the highlands of Lesotho, the children begin with simple babbling — learning to speak, to sing, and slowly, through your love, to understand the true meaning of warmth.
Beneath Africa’s beautiful and pure skies, the children look up at the Milky Way. Each shining star feels like you from afar — your love and care crossing thousands of miles to illuminate their journey as they grow.
As the children sing together,
“I want to grow up quickly, so I can protect her,”
it is more than merely a song. It is a heartfelt wish quietly taking root within them — the hope that one day, they too may become someone as warm, compassionate, and giving as you.
Because of you, the children are no longer alone.
Because of you, they are able to learn with peace in their hearts and grow with courage.
On this day filled with love and gratitude, all staff, volunteers, and children of ACC Lesotho sincerely wish every donor parent a joyful and blessed Mother’s Day ❤️

During the May Day holiday, students from the Amitofo Care Center International’s Education Development Program school in Madagascar joined forces with the *École Privée Les Aiglons* (a French-language school in Moramanga) and the Moramanga Karate Section D to co-host a unique and engaging inter-school exchange event.
The students shared what they had learned and engaged in friendly exchanges of skills. The children from the Amitofo Care Center International’s Education Development Program school took on the role of gracious hosts, welcoming their visitors with their finest performances and—with the utmost earnestness—guiding them on a tour to introduce them to the Amitofo Care Center and the International Buddhist Academy.
The inter-school exchange concluded successfully amidst laughter and expressions of gratitude. It provided the children with invaluable experience in external cultural exchange, and—for the local students and teachers from Moramanga.

At Amitofo Care Centre, family is everything.
On April 28, 2026, sponsors from Taoyuan traveled across half the globe to visit Eswatini. On April 30, we journeyed together to the Qomintaba area to visit a family that had suffered an unfortunate incident—one of their homes had been destroyed by fire. As members of the care centre, together with the visiting sponsor mothers from Taoyuan, we stepped into their home to extend our heartfelt care and condolences.
The sudden disaster deeply affected the family. Yet, during such a difficult time, the presence of visitors brought them comfort and strength. Fortunately, as the family shared, no lives were lost; only property was damaged—truly a blessing amid misfortune.
We firmly believe that offering a helping hand where there is need is not only a responsibility, but also a reflection of our original intention. Therefore, we prepared and donated essential supplies, including 10kg of mealie meal, 500g of salt, a tray of 30 eggs, and 5kg of sugar. We hope this gesture provides both practical support and a sense of warmth, helping the family through this challenging time.
Our community service efforts then extended to the NCP, where we were warmly received. The dedicated staff was already distributing meals to children, creating an atmosphere that was both orderly and heartwarming. We also contributed supplies for community upliftment, including 25kg of mealie meal, 1kg of salt, 4 liters of cooking oil, 25kg of beans, and 5kg of sugar.
This act of kindness was met with sincere appreciation—the staff expressed their gratitude, and the children performed vibrant traditional dances to convey their heartfelt thanks, filling the moment with joy and warmth.
Community service is not only about providing material support, but also about passing on hope. It allows young Swazi children to believe in a brighter future and reminds them that, somewhere in this world, there are people who truly care about their well-being and are there to support their growth.

“Safeguarding Well-being, Inspiring the Future: World Vision’s Educational Outreach in Eswatini”
On April 22, 2026, the Amitofo Care Center International’s Education Development Program in Eswatini had the honor of welcoming a World Vision team to conduct a series of enriching and inspiring educational sessions for the students. The program began by addressing the importance of avoiding judgmental attitudes toward others, offering thoughtful insights into how such behavior can negatively impact interpersonal relationships. Emphasis was also placed on cultivating trust and integrity in everyday life, enabling individuals to support and grow together. In addition, students were guided to observe and understand body language as a means of enhancing communication and empathy.
During interactive sessions, students were encouraged to openly share their life goals, as well as the challenges they face in pursuing their dreams. The program also covered topics related to relationships and s*x education, providing a safe and open environment for students to express their questions and misconceptions about s*xual orientation. Professional facilitators offered thoughtful and health-oriented responses to support students’ well-being. Furthermore, comprehensive information was provided on HIV transmission, prevention, and pregnancy prevention, strengthening students’ awareness of self-protection.
Given the depth and breadth of the material, it was not possible to cover all topics within a single day. Therefore, the World Vision team returned the following day to continue the program, focusing on two critical themes: abuse and mental health.
In the session on abuse, students learned to identify different forms, including physical and emotional abuse, supported by practical examples that enhanced understanding and awareness. The facilitators also explained the consequences of abuse, such as depression—highlighting its signs and symptoms—as well as the more severe risk of su***de, emphasizing how prolonged exposure to abuse can have profound effects on young people.
The program concluded with a focus on mental health, helping students recognize factors that can affect their psychological well-being and guiding them in developing self-awareness and healthy coping strategies. Through this comprehensive and thoughtfully designed series of sessions, students not only gained valuable knowledge but also developed the resilience and confidence needed to face future challenges.
This educational initiative was more than just a transfer of knowledge—it was a profound expression of care for the holistic development of young people, lighting a path toward health, hope, and a brighter future.

Amitofo Care Center International’s Education Development Program school children have always been enthusiastic about learning, and they approach kitchen work with genuine joy and passion. From a previous experience of making steamed buns by hand, the soft and fluffy texture not only satisfied their taste buds but also filled them with a deep sense of accomplishment and happiness. Since then, this memory has remained close to their hearts, and they have been eagerly looking forward to making these sweet, comforting buns once again.
This meal, made entirely by their own hands, was more than just a simple cooking activity; it became a profound life lesson. Through the process, the children learned practical skills, cultivated patience and focus, experienced the value of effort, and discovered the meaning of sharing and caring.
The simple warmth of the kitchen not only nourishes the body but also gently nurtures the heart. This beauty created by their own hands, this pure and heartfelt intention, will become one of the warmest and most enduring memories in the passage of time.

April 18 2026, the Amitofo Care Center International’s International Aid Program in Malawi led by our Lilongwe director, carried out our monthly outreach at Katela Community-Based Organization, continuing our mission of compassion and service.
Essential supplies such as maize, cooking oil, soya beans, sugar, salt, socks, and belts were distributed, bringing relief and warmth to many families.
Each household also received financial support to assist with maize milling, ensuring daily sustenance.
Our medical team provided check-ups and treatment on-site, addressing common conditions such as body aches, cough, and general discomfort.
Through these efforts, we strive to uphold Amitofo Care Centre’s mission — to nurture lives with compassion, restore dignity, and bring hope to underserved communities.
We are deeply encouraged by the community’s gratitude and look forward to strengthening this meaningful partnership.

On April 14, the Amitofo Care Center International’s Education Development Program school had an educational tour for grade 0. The places of interest were the Eswatini air-wing and fire station department around Matsapha. The moment the journey commenced, the learners were eager and showed a lot of exuberance towards the experience. The area we first visited was Matsapha air wing, where learners had the eye-opening experience of observing a plane at close proximity. Not only did they observe a gigantic plane, but they were also educated on different types of planes and their uses. More so, they were aware that the planes were used for training soldiers to upgrade their skills in the military. The unfortunate part leaners could not enter the planes as they were locked. Furthermore, student visited the fire department where they were taught how the fire department operates and the pivotal role it plays in ensuring the safety of people and property in the country. The leaners observed the different equipment used in preparing for emergencies and in preparing for emergencies and the way they are used to extinguish fires. Leaners and the liberty of touching most of the equipment, and it was an enchanting experience as most leaners were queuing for an experience. It was an eye opening tour as leaners took a lot of interest.
