🚨 UPDATE: After closely monitoring the weather forecast and reviewing the most current information available this morning, we have made the difficult decision to cancel today’s Gregory-Portland Tournament of Bands. 🥹
The forecast continues to show an increasing likelihood of showers and thunderstorms ⛈️throughout the afternoon, including during our scheduled contest window. With the potential for lightning and repeated weather delays, we believe cancellation is the safest and most responsible decision for our students, visiting bands, staff, volunteers, adjudicators, and spectators. 🫶🏼
We know how much work has gone into preparing for this event, and we sincerely appreciate all of our students, parents, and volunteers who were ready to help make today a successful contest. Your time, effort, and willingness to support the Wildcat Band are greatly appreciated.❤️💙
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the Gregory-Portland Wildcat Band. While we are disappointed that we will not be able to host today’s event, the safety of everyone involved must remain our highest priority.
