Our special guest speaker today was Kim Dalesandro, Director of Planned Giving in the Office of Philanthropy at Jacksonville State University, who shared expert knowledge on various planned giving options that enable individuals to honor their legacy or that of a family member, contributing to the institution or cause of their choice. This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Anna Scott Barclay as our guest speaker. Anna, a native of the Arab area and former employee of the Arab Chamber of Commerce, is now the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Snead State Community College and lives in Boaz. Anna provided valuable insights into the institution's growth, achievements, and future plans, which have been ongoing since its establishment in 1898. We are grateful to have this reputable institution nearby, where many have obtained their degrees. If you are a proud SSCC graduate, check out information on their website about joining the Alumni Association.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Frieda Werkmeister, Director of Marshall County Home Place, as our guest speaker this week. This remarkable organization "provides a hand up, not a hand out" by supporting homeless families in our area with housing, job placement, and basic necessities. They rely on partnerships, grants, and community support through financial donations and the Home Place Thrift Store in Guntersville. Great program!

We were honored to have Marie Manning, District 6 State School Board member as our guest speaker today. Her life has been devoted to education, serving as a classroom teacher, principal, superintendent and now representing parts of northeast and east-central Alabama on the state school board. She was very complimentary of the Arab City School system and several principals and staff were in attendance as she acknowledged their efforts. She is also a Rotarian! Special thanks to Superintendent Dr. Johnny Berry for arranging today's program.
