The Ruth and Naomi Project was born from a simple but powerful belief: no one should have to navigate aging, housing insecurity, or life transitions alone.
Inspired by the biblical story of Ruth and Naomi – a story rooted in loyalty, compassion, and shared survival – our organization exists to walk alongside individuals and families during some of their most vulnerable moments. Just as Ruth stayed with Naomi and helped her rebuild after loss, we believe in showing up consistently, with dignity and care.
What began as grassroots support for seniors in need has grown into a community based nonprofit serving older adults, families, and individuals of all ages. Our core focus is on senior housing support, care coordination, resource navigation, and community based services, with a deep commitment to meeting people where they are and honoring their lived experience.
Today, the Ruth and Naomi Project is taking a critical next step: developing an additional housing project for senior women in Apple Valley. We are actively seeking financial assistance and funding partnerships to help bring this housing project to life. Financial support will directly contribute to property development, essential services, and creation of dignified living environment where senior women can age safely, independently and with connections
At its heart, the Ruth and Naomi Project is about commitment – staying when things are hard, listening without judgment, and helping people rebuild with hope. With the support of donors, partners, and the community, we can expand this mission and ensure that senior women of the High Desert have a place to call home.
