How can Habitat for Humanity of Langlade County help you?
**Habitat for Humanity’s services have income eligibility guidelines that take income and family size into consideration**
Affordable home ownership: As frequently as we’re able, we will build a home in Langlade County and choose a deserving individual or family in need of an affordable home that meets their needs. The home is not free—there is a mortgage payment, so applicants must have income. Additionally, there are other requirements such as participating in the build in some way (known as “sweat equity”), financial literacy classes, and home maintenance education. For individuals with disabilities, we offer alternative ways to fulfill sweat equity requirements, ensuring everyone has a fair opportunity to participate.
Critical Repair Program: If your home is in need of repairs, Habitat may be able to help. The critical repair program can help with things like replacing/repairing windows and doors, making repairs to trim and siding, replacing boards on decks, stairs, and ramps, and a number of other small repairs.
Temporary ramps: We are fortunate to be able to offer the use of temporary ramps. We have a few available that we have volunteers install and pick up. If you’re in need of a temporary ramp, reach out to us via email or phone call, and we will see how we can help.
This list is non-exhaustive and we’re always looking for new ways to help. If you have a question on whether or not we can help or an idea, please reach out to us via email: [email protected].
