💢💢💢UPDATE 💢💢💢
Our fight with Anna City Council approval of ATMOS GAS CHEMICAL INJECTION station half a mile from where our new elementary school in the Villages of Hurricane Creek will be located. This station will be used for store Mercaptan - an extremely flammable and dangerous chemical. These stations have issues with leaks, explosions, and will undoubtably endanger our children.
Our neighborhood, Urban Crossing including Neighbor's from Villages of Hurricane Creek attended the City Council Meeting on Tuesday March 14. Our group went prepared and after a 15 min (thats all we were allowed) presentation from which included slides, photos and an expert from Houston. The Anna City Council Voted 5 to 2 to send proposal back to P&Z commission. This was a small success, BUT NOT A WIN😕.
The following Councilmen voted:
YES- Mayor, Nate PikeNO- Place 1, Kevin TotenNO-Place 2, Pete Cain YES-Place 3, Stan Carver YES-Place 4, Randy Atchley YES-Place 5, Danny Ussery YES-Place 6, Lee Miller
Our fight is not finished. We will have to stay diligent and keep an eye on the P&Z and Council agendas. We will be attending April 3rd 7:00 P&Z meeting and will present our objection again and try to stop this horrible ATMOS gas chemical injection station from being built near our homes and schools.
Please join our fight and keep this ATMOS chemical station away from our school and neighborhood!
