Hey Neighbors!! Don’t forget … Anna's early voting is April 24-29 from 8 AM to 5 PM and May 1 and 2nd from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Voting is being held at the new Anna City Hall building.

Our city and residents NEED to go out and vote for the officials running our city. We all need to make sure we are voting for people that stand up for ALL citizens of Anna.

Last night, at the City Council meeting, Stan Carver, and Danny Ussery (along with Lee Miller, not currently up for the-election) stood up for protecting citizens in the city of Anna. They had the personal integrity to make sure our families safety and well being came before corporate wants.

Your vote matters and truly affects our city.

Please vote!!

💢💢💢UPDATE 💢💢💢

Our fight with Anna City Council approval of ATMOS GAS CHEMICAL INJECTION station half a mile from where our new elementary school in the Villages of Hurricane Creek will be located. This station will be used for store Mercaptan - an extremely flammable and dangerous chemical. These stations have issues with leaks, explosions, and will undoubtably endanger our children.

Our neighborhood, Urban Crossing including Neighbor's from Villages of Hurricane Creek attended the City Council Meeting on Tuesday March 14. Our group went prepared and after a 15 min (thats all we were allowed) presentation from which included slides, photos and an expert from Houston. The Anna City Council Voted 5 to 2 to send proposal back to P&Z commission. This was a small success, BUT NOT A WIN😕.

The following Councilmen voted:
YES- Mayor, Nate PikeNO- Place 1, Kevin TotenNO-Place 2, Pete Cain YES-Place 3, Stan Carver YES-Place 4, Randy Atchley YES-Place 5, Danny Ussery YES-Place 6, Lee Miller

Our fight is not finished. We will have to stay diligent and keep an eye on the P&Z and Council agendas. We will be attending April 3rd 7:00 P&Z meeting and will present our objection again and try to stop this horrible ATMOS gas chemical injection station from being built near our homes and schools.

Please join our fight and keep this ATMOS chemical station away from our school and neighborhood!

Please come tonight and stand with us to tell our City Council NO!! to this GAS CHEMICAL INJEction station! Just half a mile from where our new elementary school in the Villages of Hurricane Creek will be located.

Per the Anna City Council agenda at the following link: http://annatx.civicclerk.com/Web/Player.aspx?id=581&key=-1&mod=-1&mk=-1&nov=0

Atmos has applied for the permit for a metering station, HOWEVER, adding the odorizer into the station then changes the use from just metering to a chemical injection site.

The specific pages for reference are: 1-5 and 98-134.

Our City Council has gone against the Planning and Zoning Commission’s recommendation and approved a GAS CHEMICAL INJECTION station a half a mile from where our new elementary school in the Villages of Hurricane Creek will be located.

This station will be used for Mercaptan - an extremely flammable and dangerous chemical. These stations have issues with leaks, explosions, and will undoubtably endanger our children.

Please join us in standing up Tuesday, March 14th at 6pm and telling our City Council NO!! to installing this threat so near our families, homes, neighborhoods, and schools!

If you have any questions or want more information on this station, the reports of dangerous leaks, or just want to help spread the word, please reach out to your Anna neighbors at [email protected]
