Thank you! With your generosity, we raised $2,511 to put Thermobind TB500 book binding repair machines in nine AAPS school libraries. Nine schools that didn't have one will have one when students return in the fall.

In a year defined by budget strain and uncertainty, this community chose to invest in something quiet and lasting: the books in our children's hands.

We also want to extend a special thank you to Michael Gustafson and everyone at Literati Bookstore. Michael's generous contribution at the close of this campaign helped push us across the finish line. It means a great deal that Ann Arbor's beloved independent bookstore stood with us. Books are their business and their heart.

Every student deserves a library full of books. That sounds simple. In practice, it takes real work and real resources.

We've supported AAPS librarians in a number of significant ways this school year. We have one more goal before the school year ends.

We want to put a book binding repair machine in nine AAPS school libraries that don't yet have one. The total cost is $2,511 — nine machines at $279 each.

We recently polled five schools with this machine. Over the past few years, they’ve repaired 1,964 books. That's $15,908 in books that stayed on the shelves, in children's hands, instead of being thrown away.

Nine schools want that same opportunity.

This is a very specific ask with a very specific payoff. Every dollar goes directly toward keeping books alive for kids who need them.
