The University of Michigan Supermileage team was formed in 2010 by a group of passionate students as an engineering project team with the fundamental goal of designing, building, and competing with the most efficient vehicle in the world. The Supermileage Team competes annually in the Shell Eco-marathon held in Detroit, MI with an electric motor. There are a mix of undergraduate students across multiple disciplines, who are applying their undergraduate education with self-taught practical theory to produce the winning design. If you are interested in partnering with us for the success of our young engineering students and access to bright future employees, please do not hesitate to contact us for more information about the project. We are a non-profit under the University and 100% of the money goes to the vehicle. All design and fabrication is completed on site at the Wilson Student Team Project Center in Ann Arbor, MI.
