If you want to be active in your school or community when it comes to things that matter to you, this Saturday is an opportunity to find your voice! Come join us at the Peace HUB in Ypsi at 10AM for free food, fun and fellowship!

Also, this summer we're bringing basketball (and other sports) activities to the neighborhoods! We want to have fun and be physically active over the summer, spread the word! Here's the schedule, stop by any or all locations from 5pm-7pm:

We’re keeping the health and wellness theme going at our upcoming breakfast. Last month we talked about mental health, this Saturday, May 9th we’re talking about physical health. Come join us for free food, fun and fellowship!

And WMBK May continues! Washtenaw County students grades 1-8 with a My Future Fund account can receive a $25 gift card, a $75 WMBK bonus in their account, and support for college and career training by attending 2 of 3 WMBK programs during the month of May! Forms will be available at the programs. Any 1st-8th grader eligible with My Future Fund that attended CLR Academy last week already has one program checked off! If any youth missed CLR, attending the breakfast this Saturday should be their first program attendance (Scarlett and Forsythe Young Keepers automatically have one program checked off). What an amazing and action packed Saturday! Our new Keepers were inducted in front of full house at our breakfast at the Peace HUB Resource Center in Ypsi, and a huge thank you to Healing Brothers United for their presentation on Black male mental health.

CLR Academy was special as well. We were joined by acclaimed fashion designer and EMU alum Desyree Nicole as she led our youth through part one of a two part fashion design workshop.

And the day concluded with WMBK Director Jamall Bufford and WMBK steering committee member Anell Eccleston facilitating the steering committee, community members, and youth leaders in a Restorative Practices and Circles training. Congrats to those that completed the training and earned their certificates!

Saturday, April 11th we're at the Peace HUB in Ypsi! We'll be discussing Emotional Strength and Mental Strength, and the positive impacts of having strong bodies, strong minds, good health and wellness.

Also during this event, we’ll welcome the newest 'Keepers' into our brotherhood! Be part of something bigger and help us make a positive impact in our community. Let's create a future where every young person has a mentor or support system. Hope to see you all there!
