Temperatures will be very high in Detroit on Thursday, July 24. To help keep you safe and cool, the Detroit Health Department is working with Detroit Recreation Centers to offer cool, indoor places for you to rest and stay out of the heat.

The following three recreation centers will be open longer hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.:
Patton Recreation Center – 2301 Woodmere Street
Heilmann Recreation Center – 19601 Brock Avenue
Northwest Activities Center – 18100 Meyers Road

All other Detroit Recreation Centers will remain open during their normal operating hours. Click the link for a full list of cooling centers near you:
