A few years ago life brought me to a full stop. I stepped away from a near 30-year career in property management and spent time doing something I hadn’t done in a long time — just watching and listening.
What I saw during that time changed my direction completely. I watched people I cared about struggle with housing situations they didn’t know how to navigate. I watched fear keep good people silent. I watched systems that exist to help people go unused because nobody knew how to access them.
I also watched what happens when someone steps in. When someone who knows the system shows up and says — I’ve got you.
That’s why I started Fair Ground Resident Services LLC today. Not to fight the industry I spent so many years in. But to bridge the gap between residents and the help that already exists.

Hi neighbors — my name is Scott, and I want to introduce Fair Ground Resident Services.

I spent 28 years in property management — starting as a groundskeeper and working through maintenance, painting, leasing, managing properties, and eventually overseeing multiple sites as a regional manager for 15 years.

I have seen this system from the inside. I know what landlords are required to do. I know what deferred maintenance looks like when it is being ignored on purpose. I know what fair housing violations look like when they are dressed up as policy. And I know what it takes to make management companies respond.

Now I am using all of that to help residents.
