The power of this project is amazing. After our recent fundraiser, an amazing mama reached out and shared her story of her son, William. William is a student that is attending school at Andover Elementary School. Bless his family, teacher and his team.
With this, we are asking our local community to come together. We will be donating all proceeds to the sales of the Pocket Hugs to the family to help make their lives just a little easier in times of needs.
"Our family’s world changed overnight when our son, William, was diagnosed with a brain tumor after months of subtle symptoms that led to emergency testing and multiple surgeries. Since then, William has shown incredible strength through brain surgery, recovery complications, followed by intensive inpatient rehab as he worked to regain his speech, balance, walking, and independence. While we are thankful his tumor was identified as a Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma (JPA), his journey is far from over with ongoing therapies, MRIs, and long-term monitoring and possible surgiers ahead. Through every challenge, William continues to fight with courage and determination, reminding us daily just how strong he is. A CaringBridge has been created to keep family and friends updated on his recovery journey and to continue surrounding William with love, prayers, and support.
