The club has 1,489 acres, including a 15-acre pond and a 1,200-acre tract of land held in a conservation easement. Member-organized events run the gamut from invited speakers to trail-clearing parties. Ragged Mountain Fish and Game Club is a small, mountainside community founded in 1901 as a family summer retreat. Today Ragged is a multigenerational community, home to year-round and seasonal residents and guests from around the globe. It remains rich in history, community and family tradition such as club wide BBQ’s, seasonal dining service on weekends, and four seasons of outdoor activity including hiking, swimming, tennis, fly fishing, kayaking and winter sports. Club members are expected to serve on committees and volunteer in some capacity in the operations of the Club and the enhancement of the community. Membership
Membership is limited to 50 members and membership is required to own a home in the club. Applicants for membership are expected to be known to Members prior to applying and the Sponsors of the applicant are responsible for introducing prospective members to other members prior to the applying. Application Process
The application process requires sponsorship by three existing Members, each of whom should describe how they know the applicant and why they believe the applicant will be a good addition to the Membership. The applicant will provide their contact information, details of their family and will detail their interest in the Club and how they anticipate contributing to Club Life. The Application fee for Full Membership is $500, which will be credited against the initiation fee if the application is successful. Approval Process
Once an application is submitted, with the application fee, it is reviewed by the Membership Committee and the Board. The Board will vote on whether to circulate the application to the membership for comments for a period of 30 days. Following circulation, the Board may vote on the application. If approved, an initiation fee is payable. Membership dues billed in advance on a quarterly basis.
