Growing your own food is the theme of April‘s homeschool get together on April 21. We’ll be visiting an in-ground garden and a raised bed garden. The children will get to plant vegetable seeds and set out herbs and vegetable plants. Did you know you can make your own potting soil? Learn about composting.
We will picnic at 1 PM on the school grounds and begin our adventures following!

What a great day we had recreating a 1936 New Bethel School day! Students carried in firewood, pumped water, viewed 1930’s artifacts, had lessons in reading, arithmetic, history and spelling, played games at recess, and were treated to a fun time of music. It was a day to remember.

Our homeschool group will meet November 18 at 1:30 pm to make ornaments and garlands for the Christmas tree. This has become an annual tradition. On Tuesday December 2nd we will hang the ornaments, enjoy Christmas cookies and a Christmas story time.

Our October homeschool meeting will be Tuesday the 14th at the school. We’ll be making grapevine wreaths for Thanksgiving. I Thessalonians 5:18 says, “give thanks in all circumstances.” And Phillipians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but In everything, by prayer and petition, with THANKSGIVING , present your requests to God”.

We’ll picnic at 1:00, or you may just come for the meeting at 1:30. Bring wild grapevines if you have access to them and fall items to decorate with. Newcomers are welcome.
