Purrlease join us this Friday at Summit Spice and Tea from 4pm-6pm for the First Friday Debut: Project Patcasso.
From our Young Purrson RePURResentative, Dalton!
"Dalton would love to invite you to his very own passion project, with the goal of finding a very special cat a home!
Pat is a beautiful tortoiseshell cat who has called the Alaska Humane Society home since 2018, when she arrived as a stray. She has a big personality, a loyal following of volunteers, and a heart that deserves a home of her own.
Life in a shelter can be overwhelming. Imagine living every day surrounded by a multitude of sounds, smells, and constant activity. For a cat like Pat, who can become overstimulated, it can be especially challenging. While she has a history of scratching or having a reactive response when stressed (which has led to bites), those who know and respect her boundaries see the incredible cat behind the behavior. In my four years volunteering with her, Pat has never once hurt me. She simply asks that people listen to what she's telling them.
I wish I could give Pat the forever home she deserves, but severe cat allergies in my household make that impossible. So instead, I wanted to find a way to share her story and celebrate everything that makes her special.
Introducing Project Patcasso
Inspired by videos of zoo animals creating art, I decided to showcase Pat's inner artist. Every painting you will see on display at Summit Spice and Tea was created by Pat herself.
Come join me for the opening of Project Patcasso on June 5th from 4pm-6pm at Summit Spice and Tea, 3030 Denali St, #2.
I would love to talk to you about the process of Pat painting and most importantly, about Pat herself. Each piece of art will have a QR code displayed beside it. If you would like to buy a piece, simply scan the code to purchase your own original Pat masterpiece.
Every purchase helps support the Alaska Humane Society and the cats waiting for their forever homes.
Come meet Pat through her art, share her story, and help me show the world that sometimes the most misunderstood souls have the most beautiful gifts to share." Dalton A.
