Teacher Tales III is shaping up to be an incredible night. 🎭 We are thrilled about this year’s lineup and the powerful voices taking the stage. 🎤 The stories that will be shared are honest, courageous, and deeply meaningful. 💬💛

Today, we honor the life of a leader who changed the direction of American politics. As the first Black woman elected to Congress, Shirley Chisholm used her voice and her seat to push for fairness, equality, and opportunity for all.

She was direct, courageous, and committed to making sure her community was seen and heard. Whether she was fighting for education, economic justice, or representation, she never backed down from what she believed was right.

Thank you, Shirley, for opening doors that continue to guide and empower future generations.

In collaboration with Mama Carol’s Soulfood, we decided to host something just for our high schoolers! We realized there aren’t many safe and fun spaces for teens to hang out and celebrate — so we’re changing that!
