🎨 NATIVE STUDENT ARTISTS: IT IS YOUR TIME TO SHINE! 🎨

Submissions are officially open for our annual OKCPS NASS Native American Student Art Show, happening February 5th–6th, 2027, at Penn Square Mall!

Whether your student beads, paints, sews, carves, draws, takes photographs, or creates digital designs—their cultural voice and artistic story matter.

This is their platform to share their vision, represent their tribe, and celebrate Native youth excellence.

🌟 What you need to know:

Show Dates: Friday, February 5th (10 AM - 7 PM) & Saturday, February 6th (10 AM - 2 PM)

Location: Penn Square Mall (where their art will be displayed publicly for thousands of mall visitors!)

Awards Ceremony: Saturday, February 6th at Noon
Who can submit: Any OKCPS Native American student!

By proclamation, August 13, 2026 is officially recognized as Kiowa Education Agency Day in the Town of Carnegie to underscore the need for a strong collaboration with the Kiowa Tribe and recognize meaningful impacts that K.E.A. has made since its founding four years ago. We reaffirm our strong partnerships with Carnegie Public Schools, the school community and town at-large. We appreciate Ms. Lori Gooday-Ware for her instrumental work in achieving this day of acknowledgement as well as assistance from our Educational Partnerships Coordinator, Ms. Miah Miller. Thanks to Carnegie Mayor, Cody Dupler and K.E.A. staff and Carnegie residents, Donald “Joe” Bointy, Site Supervisor for the Boys & Girls Club of the Kiowa Tribe, Miah Miller, Educational Partnerships Coordinator/School Liaison, and Kelsey Autaubo, Kiowa Youth Director for accepting the proclamation on our behalf. Also thanks to little Beatrice for attending. 🥰

Kiowa Tribe Child Care will be giving carnival bracelets for Kiowa-enrolled children/youth ages 3 - 17. Pick-up will be on Wednesday, August 12 from 2 pm - 4 pm at the Kiowa Education Agency located at 208 Hardees Street West in Anadarko.
