Little Hands Big Trees

With a heart for giving, Levi wanted to make sure the elderly in our community feel seen, loved, and remembered during the Christmas season. Little Hands Big Trees began with a simple idea from 11-year-old Levi Voorhies of Anacoco, Louisiana: to bring Christmas cheer to those who may feel forgotten during the holidays — especially the elderly. d it’s already being met with so much love and support from our local community. As Levi’s mom, I’ve always encouraged him to be involved in our community and to care for those who are often overlooked. This project was born from that encouragement and his compassionate heart. We believe that small acts of kindness can make a big impact — and what better time to show love than at Christmastime? Each year, starting now, Levi and a team of caring adult volunteers will deliver small artificial Christmas trees to elderly individuals in our area. They don’t just drop them off — they set them up, decorate them with joy, and return after the holidays to gently take them down. Every tree brings a smile, a conversation, and a reminder that someone cares. It’s about connection, kindness, and raising the next generation to serve others with heart. We’re so thankful for every volunteer, donor, and supporter who’s joining us in this first year of Little Hands Big Trees. Let’s spread joy — one tree at a time.
