Little Hands Big Trees

Little Hands, Big Trees is a volunteer-led project founded by 12 year-old Levi Voorhies in Louisiana. This project is about more than Christmas decorations.

With a heart for giving, Levi wanted to make sure the elderly in our community feel seen, loved, and remembered during the Christmas season. Little Hands Big Trees began with a simple idea from 11-year-old Levi Voorhies of Anacoco, Louisiana: to bring Christmas cheer to those who may feel forgotten during the holidays — especially the elderly. d it’s already being met with so much love and support from our local community. As Levi’s mom, I’ve always encouraged him to be involved in our community and to care for those who are often overlooked. This project was born from that encouragement and his compassionate heart. We believe that small acts of kindness can make a big impact — and what better time to show love than at Christmastime? Each year, starting now, Levi and a team of caring adult volunteers will deliver small artificial Christmas trees to elderly individuals in our area. They don’t just drop them off — they set them up, decorate them with joy, and return after the holidays to gently take them down. Every tree brings a smile, a conversation, and a reminder that someone cares. It’s about connection, kindness, and raising the next generation to serve others with heart. We’re so thankful for every volunteer, donor, and supporter who’s joining us in this first year of Little Hands Big Trees. Let’s spread joy — one tree at a time.

🎄♥️🎄Levi had the joy of delivering a Christmas tree to the precious Miss Day through Little Hands Big Trees. 🎄🤍

From the moment we arrived, Miss Day welcomed us with the warmest smile and the kindest heart. She was truly one of those people whose joy and spirit fill a room. We loved visiting with her, listening to her stories, and sharing a few sweet moments together.

Seeing Levi bring a little Christmas cheer into Miss Day’s home is exactly why Little Hands Big Trees exists — to spread love, kindness, and connection in the simplest yet most meaningful ways.

Last week, Levi had the honor of delivering a Christmas tree to the sweetest lady, Miss Gerry, through Little Hands Big Trees. 🎄🤍

This photo captures a moment we will always treasure. From the second we walked in, Miss Gerry’s excitement and joy were absolutely contagious. She was precious, kind, and so grateful — and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute visiting with her.

Watching Levi share this moment with Miss Gerry is exactly why Little Hands Big Trees exists. What began as a simple tree delivery turned into a heartfelt reminder that love, kindness, and connection are the true gifts of the season.

Thank you, Miss Gerry, for welcoming us so warmly and for blessing us just as much as we hoped to bless you. ✨

A huge thank-you to Ms. Letha at The Woodlands Healthcare Center for taking the time to help Levi deliver Christmas trees to 10 more residents yesterday. She has been such a blessing, helping us organize deliveries to those in need of a little Christmas joy.
We are so grateful for her kindness and support of Little Hands Big Trees. ❤️🎄
