On 15 rolling acres in Amity, Oregon, Krystal runs a small but mighty dog foster home that’s rescued over 350 animals — from starving pups and shy seniors to bottle baby kittens and even a day-old sheep. With 3 dogs, 4 cats, 4 goats, 2 horses, and 20+ chickens as her permanent crew, it’s never boring. She specializes in giving love and safety to the vulnerable — especially pregnant moms and forgotten souls — and shares every chaotic, joyful moment on her new social media sites. Her new social media pages share the real stories: the mess, the magic, and the miracles

All volunteer. All heart. All in.
🐾 Follow for tail wags, tiny mews, and second chances. If you need a smile (or a furry face to cheer you up), you’ll find it here.

💙Q3 RECAP — THANK YOU! 💙

What an incredible few months for Paws and a Purpose!

So many dogs found their forever homes, experienced love and safety in foster homes, and received much-needed supplies and medical care thanks to your generosity. We even hosted our very first adoption event, and it was a huge success!

To everyone who fostered, adopted, donated, volunteered, shared our posts, or simply cheered us on — THANK YOU!

We are 100% volunteer-run and donation-funded, and none of this would be possible without this amazing community.

Every adoption, every foster home, every donation, and every share makes a difference. We couldn’t do this without you all! 💙

Here’s to saving even more lives in Q4!

🚨FOSTER CALL🚨

These two sweet 8-week-old Pit Bull mix puppies, Jewel & Fidget, are on the euthanasia list. They were born at the shelter and deserve the chance to grow up in safe, loving homes.

We have transport coming up October 8th, and we would love to save them both—but we need fosters!

🐾 Jewel — Female(left) | 8 weeks | 7.1 lbs
🐾 Fidget — Male(right) | 8 weeks | 5.1 lbs

They are littermates, but they do NOT need to be fostered together. Fostering just one gives that puppy the chance to make it out of the shelter and onto our transport.

Can you foster Jewel or Fidget? Even a temporary foster can be the difference between life and death. Please message us ASAP if you can help save one of these babies. 💙

🐾Meet Otto! 🐾

Otto is a 12-year-old, 8.6-pound Dachshund/Chihuahua mix with so much love to give! This sweet senior loves nothing more than curling up in a warm lap and being close to his favorite person.

Otto is house trained, neutered, vaccinated, and has recently had a dental exam. He’s healthy, happy, and ready to find a loving home to spend his golden years.

Otto is proof that senior dogs still have so much love to give. All he needs is a cozy spot, plenty of cuddles, and a family to call his own.

🐾 COURTESY POST — Otto is available for adoption through Oregon Dachshund Rescue Inc., not Paws and a Purpose.

For more information or adoption inquiries, please contact Oregon Dachshund Rescue directly at [email protected].

🐾Bambi Update🐾

Thank you to all the families that have adopted through us and given these dogs a wonderful life. We love seeing these updates and hearing that your experience has been great.

Here are some words from Bambi’s adopters:
“Bambi is doing really well at home! She’s settling into our house and getting to know the cats and learning to respect their space. She loves snuggling on the couch, playing in the backyard, and going on solo walks to explore and learn. We’ve also been working on training, and she’s learning sit, stay, and lay down. She’s such a sweet little addition to our family. ❤️
And Paco has changed so much since Bambi came home! He’s playing with toys for the first time in a long time, has become much more independent, and he and Bambi wrestle and play together all the time. He is so happy — it feels like he has a smile on his face all the time.

We had such a great experience adopting Bambi through Paws and a Purpose. It was clear how much Krystal loves and cares for the dogs in her care — Bambi came to us happy, social, and ready to be part of a family.
We’re so grateful Krystal felt Bambi would be a good fit for us because she truly is. We absolutely adore her, and she’s already an amazing friend to our dog Paco. We feel very lucky that Krystal trusted us with her!
Thank you again!
Brenda & family ❤️”

We may have your new best friend waiting for you!🐶
