The Tangi Top Shots Archery Team competed at the 2026 4-H Southern Archery Regionals in Alexandria on March 21 & 22 in Modified Fita, 3-D, & Field. We took 12 competitors competiting with Genesis, Barebow Recurve & Compound Bow.

Congratulations to all my other competitors - Alaina Johnson, Kaci Johnson, Case Gottschalk, Brynlee Strickland and our 2 other unnamed competitiors. I was proud of all my archers for doing their best & many for competing for the very first time. Thank you to our coaches and parents who work with our kids all year and attended this competition with them. Good Luck to our kids who compete at state this weekend.

If anyone was ever curious what a little over 4000 lbs of sweet potatoes looks like... here ya go! Thank you to all our Tangi Top Shots members who participated and made our sweet potato fundraiser a success! Pick up will be tomorrow at the 4-H office from 2-6 pm. 🍀SAFETY MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS -
💥Shotgun will have our safety meeting next Thursday, 9/25, at the Amite S***t Club 61282 VFW Rd, Amite City, LA 70422. The meeting will be from 6:00-7:00 pm.

💥.22 Rifle/Pistol will be Saturday, Oct. 11 at 9 am with a practice following.

Hey yall! Important announcement! Safety meetings are mandatory to attend to be able to participate. If you are unable to make the safety meeting, please contact the coach to see if alternative arrangements can be made. Tonight, 9/15/2025, is the archery safety meeting at the arena from 5-7. .22 Rifle/Pistol will be October 11th at 9:00 AM at the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Range. I will post the other disciplines once I have the dates!

Tangipahoa 4-H Shooting Sports Program Kickoff Meeting

Are you a student in 4th-12th grade with an interest in shooting sports? Join us for our kickoff meeting on September 9th at 6:30pm at the Florida Parishes Arena.

We'll be discussing everything related to Tangipahoa 4-H Shooting Sports program for 2025-2026! This is a very informative meeting for parents of members who wish to join this project club. Due to the club’s fast pace starting deadlines and scheduled trainings, if your family is interested, please make every effort to attend! Youth do not need to be present for the meeting.

Tangipahoa Parish 4-H Shooting Sports club is open to all youth ages 8 to 18. Each year, 4-H teaches shooting sports to about 500,000 boys and girls. Shooting sports can be gratifying for youth, especially those who aren’t athletes. The program provides a supportive environment in which young people can experience hands-on, fun learning experiences.

We warmly welcome all interested members and their parents/guardians to attend this meeting!

🍀🏹 National 4-H Shooting Sports Results! 🏆🍀

We are beyond proud of our Tangi Top Shots seniors, Wyatt Conleay and Dylan Michelli, who just wrapped up an incredible week at the 25th Anniversary 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships in Nebraska!

They were 2 of the 4 members representing Louisiana in compound archery, competing against 740 youth from 40 states across 9 disciplines. Not every state fields a team in every event—and just making it this far is a huge honor on its own.

The Louisiana 4-H Shooting Sports program brought home 1st place overall, and the Louisiana Compound Archery team placed an impressive 5th in the nation!

9th Overall Individual
9th in 3D
12th in Field
14th in FITA

🔹 Dylan Michelli:

12th in Field
12th in FITA

Their teammates Chase McBroom and Kaden Wicker also represented Louisiana proudly — with Chase placing 4th in 3D and 13th in Field!

🎯 Two of our very own seniors from Tangi Top Shots are representing Louisiana this week at the National 4-H Shooting Sports Competition in Nebraska! They’re part of the 4-member compound archery team competing on behalf of our entire state. We’re proud of their hard work, focus, and determination — Louisiana is in good hands! 💪🏼🏹
