Ames Community Arts Council The Ames Community Arts Council is an umbrella organization dedicated to celebrating the arts. Drop us a message, and we'll set up a time to connect.

The Ames Community Arts Council is a non-profit 501(3)(c) organization dedicated to celebrating the arts since 1976. The Arts Council connects the public to vocal and instrument concerts, dance and theater performances, visual arts exhibits, unique shopping, cultural events, arts classes and more through the on-line community calendar and weekly email newsletter. The Arts Council works to provide opportunities for artists and cultural experiences for the public through projects such as the Art in Education grants and the Back Alley Gallery. We honors local artists and art supporters through the annual Arts Awards Celebration. We're always "working from home!" While we do not have a physical office location, we are happy to meet for coffee at any time! We've also become masters of the Zoom call, if you want the in-person experience from your own living room!

The Fiber Arts Node at CASA is delighted to announce that Norma Wolff, long-time CASA artist, will be there this weekend, Saturday and Sunday 2-4 PM, as part of the Ames Artists Studio Tour. She donated her life's work to CASA and we will have some of it on display in the FAN for this event.

The FAN is at 130 S. Sheldon Ave, suite 203 and will be open for the full tour, Saturday 10-4 and Sunday Noon-4. On Saturday 10-1 and Sunday 12-2 Natalie Jackson will be there demonstrating inkle weaving and letting folks try their had at it.

Hope you have this Ames Artist’s Studio Tour on your calendar for this weekend! Remember some of the CASA Artists will be presenting their work for sale along with many other studios in the Ames area. CASA will be open Saturday 10 to 4 and also Sunday noon to 4. Lots of great demos will be happening! Hope to see you there!! More info at www.amesaart.org!
