The Ames Community Arts Council is a non-profit 501(3)(c) organization dedicated to celebrating the arts since 1976. The Arts Council connects the public to vocal and instrument concerts, dance and theater performances, visual arts exhibits, unique shopping, cultural events, arts classes and more through the on-line community calendar and weekly email newsletter. The Arts Council works to provide

opportunities for artists and cultural experiences for the public through projects such as the Art in Education grants and the Back Alley Gallery. We honors local artists and art supporters through the annual Arts Awards Celebration. We're always "working from home!" While we do not have a physical office location, we are happy to meet for coffee at any time! We've also become masters of the Zoom call, if you want the in-person experience from your own living room!

The Ames Chamber Artists is an ensemble representing a broad spectrum of educational and vocational backgrounds, joined in the common love of fine choral singing. We are looking forward to an exciting 2026-2027 season!
To learn more about potential membership, please join us at our annual Open House: Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5:30-7:15 at our regular rehearsal space--the Unitarian Universalist Church on 1015 Hyland Ave, Ames. Refreshments will be provided.
