!!Breaking News!!

Hot off the presses- Sumter County High School was just named a National FFA Grants for Growing recipient for the 2026-2027 school year!

We received a grant for $5000 that will be used to purchase field fence, T-Posts, wood posts, and other fencing materials to construct livestock paddocks at the Livestock Facility at Sumter County High School.

These paddocks will allow us to grow a small heard of various livestock like cows, pigs, goats, etc. This grant will help us expand student opportunities for Supervised Agricultural Experience projects and expand livestock learning opportunities for all students in Sumter County!
Grants for Growing (G4G) is a competitive grant program for middle and high school FFA chapters that are developing and improving project-based or experiential learning opportunities for students. FFA chapters may apply for up to $5,000 through the G4G program, sponsored by Tractor Supply Company (TSC).

Funding is provided by consumers who purchase an FFA paper emblem at TSC stores during checkout. Emblems can be purchased at any denomination.
We want to thank everyone who purchases the paper emblems at Tractor Supply during the month of February, because you help make opportunities like this possible for FFA chapters all over the country!

We will have a parent meeting for National Convention coming up this Wednesday July 1. We will be purchasing plane tickets at this meeting so if you have qualified to attend, it's vital that you and a parent are in attendance. This meeting will be at 10 AM in the Ag Shop!

We are incredibly proud to announce that we are the Area 5 3rd Place chapter in the South Region Outstanding Chapter Award Program for the 2025-2026 School Year! This placing is the culmination of points we've earned through the year by participating in the various region, state, and national activities, competitions, and award programs provided by FFA.
