Yesterday's AAFAC Meeting and Community Training was full of learning, connection, and great conversation!

Lee Ann Lefevre presented Tools to Help Foster and Adoptive Families Thrive, equipping attendees with practical ideas and resources to add to their toolkits. We were also pleased to have Kori Gough from Heart Galleries of Texas join us and share about their impactful mission.

The Amarillo Area Foster Adoption Coalition joins our community in mourning the loss of Gwen Wilson Hicks. Gwen was a force for good whose influence reached every corner of our community. Her heart for children, families, and community inspired others to step forward, serve, and make a difference.

While her impact reached far beyond the foster care community, those of us involved in foster care and adoption are especially grateful for the vision, advocacy, and support she provided to children and families throughout our region. Through her leadership, foster families found encouragement, children found belonging, and our community became more engaged in caring for its most vulnerable members.

We mourn this tremendous loss while celebrating a remarkable life of service. Our thoughts and prayers are with Gwen's family, the Amarillo Angels team, and the many lives she touched.

Thank you, Gwen, for showing us what it means to love and serve well.

🤠❤️ Help Us Fill Moses Closet at the Boot Scootin’ Boogie! ❤️🤠

Panhandle Orphan Care Network is collecting NEW boys and girls clothing in sizes Preemie–5T to help children entering foster care receive the essentials they need during a difficult transition.

When a child enters foster care, they often arrive with very little. Your donation helps us provide clothing, comfort, dignity, and hope through our Moses Closet ministry.

✨ We are especially grateful to Bridging the Gaps for allowing us to collect clothing at this event and helping us serve local foster families.

We celebrate the families recognized for their commitment to reunification efforts. Foster and Kinship Families play a vital role in supporting children and helping them safely return home, and we also honor the strength of the families who achieved reunification.
