I'm sorry to announce that the Alvord Events Association has been dissolved & will no longer be hosting events in Alvord. If you have any questions about future events, check with the city of Alvord on their FB page or at city hall or the Alvord EDC FB page. Thank you to everyone who has contributed or volunteered over the years.

🎅🎄 This years Tree lighting is December 3rd 🎅🎄 at the Gateway Food Truck Park starting at 530pm
🍪☕️Free coco and cookies ☕️🍪
The tree will be lit when the sun is fully set 🌄
Santa will be there🎅!

🎅🎄 We're here at the Alvord High School Cafeteria till 5pm with some amazing vendors.
Need to fill those stocking, we have everything from baked goods to custom artwork.

🚨🚨 update!! We will start at 4:00!!🚨🚨 so sorry for the change!!
The Alvord Events Association will be passing out grocery bags on Monday at the Assembly of God church with their Meals ToGo program. Pick up starts at 4:00. These are the groceries that our awesome community has made donations for at the Lowe's Market. Each bag will have: greenbeans, yams, chicken broth, cranberry sauce, instant potatoes, stuffing & gravy packets. We are expecting about 80 bags. The AEA has also purchased 30 hams & butter for those who can use it. We hope everyone has a safe & happy Thanksgiving!
