Our sweet Hildy is waiting ever so patiently for her turn to be adopted! She enjoys spending her time at her foster home watching Lizzie the Lizard!

We made a new discovery with her embark test. She is not a Newfie she is

54% GOLDEN RETRIEVER
40% GREAT PYRENEES
6% ROTTWEILER

This makes her personality make a little more sense! Nonetheless she is adorable, funny and oh so very loving!

If you are interested in adopting Hildy email [email protected]

These 2 came from the National Forest north of Houston apart of a pack of 24! Bryn was severely injured when he was a tiny puppy, so he was pulled in December 2025. Reba was the last one pulled from the forest in March 2026, she was the most shy/nervous/least trusting of the pack. When we reintroduced them it was a beautiful sight! They knew eachother but looked confused and happy to be seeing each other. Bryn is a little spit fire and he was able to show Reba that she can trust us. She opened up extremely fast because she had Bryn. We believe Reba is Bryn’s older sister from a litter before him. l

One month. ❤️

When Ms. Hildy first came to me, her body was screaming for help. Severe skin infections, painfully infected ears, irritated folds, hair loss, inflammation… and you could tell she just felt miserable.

The last 30 days have been filled with:
• the RIGHT nutrition
• countless pills and medications
• medicated baths
• blow drying that thick coat after every treatment
• ear cleanings
• skin wipe downs
• monitoring every little change
• patience, consistency, and a whole lot of love

And LOOK at her now. 🥹

Her skin is healing.
Her ears look SO much better.
Her coat is coming back in.
The inflammation is going down.
And most importantly… she’s starting to feel comfortable in her own body again!

This is what rescue really looks like behind the scenes. Daily care. Exhaustion. Trial and error. Time. Money. Consistency. Showing up every single day even when progress feels slow.

Hildy still has healing left to do, but this girl has come SO far in just one month and I am incredibly proud of her. 🖤

These transformations are only possible because you continue to support dogs like Hildy through donations, sharing posts, fostering, adopting, and believing in second chances.

We cannot thank you all enough for the continued support!

A Pantry Full of Gratitude

Our pantry is stocked, our tails are wagging,
and the dogs are celebrating like they just won the Texas Lottery.
Your generosity didn’t just fill shelves

it gave us breathing room, wiggle room,
and more time for the cuddles, training,
and daily “please don’t eat that” conversations.

Thank you for lifting a huge weight off my plate
so I can give these sweet souls the attention they deserve.
Your kindness keeps us moving forward,
one goofy, lovable dog at a time.

Signed with snorts, wiggles, and questionable manners,
Finley, Raider, Efsane, Indy, Winston, Timmy, Hildie, Bryn, Reba, Banu & the rest of the gang!

We are FOREVER GRATEFUL!!!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

My morning with the bigger 7 dogs! Banu, Raider, Indy, Efsane, Finley, Winston & Timmy! Just starting to integrate Banu back into the pack since she has recovered from her spay surgery. All the dogs are nervous again 🖤 she is BIG and PLAYFUL!

National Rescue Dog Day is such an important reminder of why rescue matters so deeply. Every dog deserves safety, love, and a family to call their own — and at Big Paws K9 Foster House , these sweet pups are getting their second chance after already overcoming so much in their short little lives. 💙🐾🩷

We are hoping these darling rescue kiddos won’t have to wait too long to find forever homes filled with love, patience, and belly rubs. If you aren’t able to adopt right now, 💙🤗 fostering can truly save a life and open your heart in the most beautiful way. Please reach out and help one of these precious souls start their happy new chapter. 🩵

This morning I was out cleaning kennels, filling water buckets, handing out breakfast, and looking around thinking… we are running LOW.

Low on dog food.
Low on treats.
Low on cleaning supplies.
Low on space.
Getting low on funds.
And honestly… just stretched very thin.

Right now, there are 20 LARGE breed dogs depending on us every single day. That means mountains of food, endless laundry, constant cleaning, rising electric bills from this brutal heat and humidity, vet care, medications, preventatives, and daily care that never stops.

We are currently **CLOSED** for intake.
Even if a foster is offered.
We are **OVER CAPACITY**

And while we will always continue caring for the dogs already here, we need HELP moving dogs OUT through fostering and adoption so we can breathe again and continue helping responsibly.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering… we need you.
If you’ve ever considered adopting… now is the time.
If you’re unable to foster or adopt but still want to help, our Amazon Wishlist is one of the biggest ways to directly support the dogs right now.

Every bag of food, every bottle of cleaner, every box of treats truly matters more than you know.

I’ll be posting both our Amazon Wishlist and Givebutter monthly donor link in the comments. Monthly donors help us survive the “everyday” expenses that never stop coming.

Thank you to every single person who continues to stand behind these dogs and this mission. We truly could not do this alone. 🖤

****Please let me know what you order from the wishlist so I can remove the item once we reach enough and I can make sure it arrives. They do not always have names on them.
