📚 Great things are happening at our library!
The library already hosts so many wonderful events and programs that bring our community together, spark curiosity, and create opportunities for people of all ages.

The Friends of the Library help make even more possible. Through fundraising and community support, the Friends can expand, enhance, and create additional programming—helping the library offer more of the events and experiences our community loves.

We join millions in mourning Dolly Parton, a beloved icon whose lifelong devotion to literacy helped countless children discover the magic of stories.

In her honor, the Friends of the Altoona Library Foundation will be reading in her memory and working to bring a little of her light and imagination to Altoona.

Our August Friends of the Library Meeting starts shortly - tonight at 6:30pm. We will be meeting at Brightside Aleworks for this month.

The meeting is open to everyone. Come learn about the different ways you can help the Friends of the Library grow as well as improve the library for our community.

Thank you to everyone who braved the rain last night and attended National Night Out.
It was great to see the community and chat with you about the Friends of the Library.
