Did anyone spot the new trees going in on the golf course yesterday?! 🌳⛳️

Thanks to the incredible support of our community and local businesses, we’ve officially raised nearly $20,000 for the Sioux Golf and Country Club tree fundraiser! 👏🏽

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported this effort to help restore the golf course after the storm damage. It’s amazing to see our community come together to bring new life back to our golf course!

We’re excited to begin fundraising for the future of Alton Bandshell Park!

Our goal is to create a safer, more welcoming, and accessible space for families and our neighboring communities to enjoy.💙

This $265,000 project will move forward through grants, donations, events, and community support, and every gift makes a difference!

We are excited to share plans for updating the Bandshell Park! 🙌🏽🤩🎉

While this space has served our community well for many years, it is now outdated. The current flooring surface can be unsafe at times and is not fully accessible for strollers or wheelchairs. As our community continues to grow, we want our public spaces to reflect that growth and be welcoming to everyone.

Our vision is a refreshed Bandshell Park that is safe, accessible, and inviting. A place where families and visitors of all ages and abilities feel comfortable playing. This project is about showing what we already know: Alton is a thriving small town with a strong future and a spirit of inclusion. 👏🏽

The total estimated cost of the project is $260,000. The existing main play structure will remain in place, while the swings and additional play features will be upgraded to create a safer, more modern, and more inclusive play experience. The project also includes the installation of turf flooring to improve accessibility, safety, and long-term durability. Through grants, local business and community support, and events, we will be dedicating our efforts to this project for the foreseeable future.

We had such a fun night at our Tacos & Trivia event! 🌮

A huge THANK YOU to the people who came out to support our fundraiser for the golf course tree project 🌳 Your support means so much to our community!

We had 9 teams battling it out, with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place—congrats to our winners! 🏆

Big shoutout to our amazing sponsors: Sioux Golf and Country Club, Babcock Meat Locker, The Train Station and Yard Bar-Alton 👏

And thank you to Trejo's Catering for the delicious meal—everyone loved it!

🌮 Buffet goes from 5:30-6:30.
🤔 Trivia starts at 6:45.
🍻 Bartender will be there ready to serve drinks!
🏀 stick around after trivia for the Iowa State game, which will be playing in the clubhouse!
