Today is March 9th which would have been my Grandma's birthday and it's Barbie's birthday! (Yes the doll!) 🥳🎉🎂 For her birthday we raised $282 for the Effingham Humane Society. BUT we thought since my grandma shared a birthday with Barbie, we are looking for a girl who has either recently went through a hard time or a girl who has done something amazing for others, and we want to bless them with a Barbie 🩷.

Please send me a message with the girls first name and either a brief summary of her accomplishments or her struggles (this way we can include a personal note with her Barbie if chosen!) She will be chosen at random out of all the nominees!

*Must reside in Altamont or Effingham (or be able to meet in one of those two places for drop off!)

Two years ago my kids and I have made an organization "Love Always - Marsha's Mission". We have fundraisers throughout the year and donate funds and gifts to different charities. We have established an account at First Mid and we can't wait see how many people and charities we can help locally.

This of course is to help the communities we live in, but also to give myself a purpose and teach the kids about giving, being selfless, kindness and philanthropy. 💙💙💙💙

Dawson's surgery day. Hopefully his last!

He had surgery early this morning to do a deep removal of hardware and clean up the scar. Surgery went great. ❤️

Shriners gave Dawson a few goodies after surgery and he donated a Lego set back to another boy who had a surgery today as well. 🥹

When we were all done he donated all the 100 plus toys to Shriners Children’s St. Louis. Then proceeded to fall asleep on the way home 😴.

Thanks to those who donated, because of you we've added these amazing toys to the toy drive for Shriners. As a bonus we got a bunch of coloring bags, books, and crayons for the kiddos.

We didn't do as much as last time. So while the kids are bummed we did manage to get 85 toys and books for Shriners 🙌! Our goal was at least 100. If anyone has a last minute toy donation or wants to send Venmo for Dawson and Layla to run a quick trip to Walmart to secure some last minute gifts pm me! Either way I'm sure the kids at Shriners will love it!! The kids did their best to match all the toys that were donated ❤️. They will be delivered the same day we go in for Dawson's surgery. Thanks to everyone who donated, it means the world to us!

This made my whole day. I woke up to somebody buying out almost the whole registry. I believe this person is a stranger as I have nobody on my Facebook with that name spelled that way. The registry started with 12 items that the kids picked out. Every time that it would get sold out I would add a few more and it would get sold out again. I know asking people to donate is already hard especially around Christmas time. But the people who have donated are amazing! Almost every toy that's been purchased has been matched by me and the kids. This hasn't just helped the kids at Shriners also helps my family, as we don't worry as much about Dawson's surgery when we are collecting toys. On top of the registery we have had people just purchase toys and bring it to us. I love that just as much because they're putting into thought what these kids in a hospital would want. Some of them are so creative. 🩵💙

My grandma would be so tickled with all this. I can actually close my eyes and hear what she would say. 🩵💙

We are looking for elderly people, homebound people, children in the hospital, human beings who could use a pick me up with a simple holiday card. Just shoot us a message with their name and address and we will get them sent out in the order we receive them!

Hi everyone!! I know it's been a while here are our updates, as we get ready to go into our busy season!!

🧸 We've been collecting toys since our last update. Dawson recently sold an old cash register he cleaned up and is buying some toys with the money he made from that! All toys will be given to Shriners Childrens hospital in St Louis, before Dawson's Surgery on December 23rd! If you have a toy you would like to donate please reach out.
