My Pops used to always say, every day, as we walked out the door for school,

" Learn Something New" !

This meaning, even if the teacher is teaching something you already know, learn something new about that topic.

How does that topic make you feel today versus the 1st time you learned it? How does the topic affect you now versus before?

My advice this 2024-2025 school year:

"Make It Count!"

Today feels like a 'Wisdom Wednesday', so let's get into it:

INTEGRITY, a quality that is ingrained through actions, not words, serves as the foundation of principles and ethical leadership.

CREATIVITY, a catalyst for authentic expression, empowers individuals to embody their true selves.

RELIABILITY, is the cornerstone of a leader's commitment to their team, assuring them of unwavering support.

PLANNING, a crucial tool for effective leadership, fosters readiness, and positions the team for triumphant success. Planning can transform a leader's journey.

EMPATHY, demonstrates genuine care and creates a safe and supportive environment, a secret weapon of successful leaders.

DELEGATION, is an art in itself and acknowledges that no leader can navigate the path alone. By trusting team members with tasks based on their strengths, leaders enable their teams to collaborate with the opportunity to build strong relationships and execute efficiently, propelling them towards excellence.

Leadership development is a muscle. Like any other muscle in the body, Y.O.U must work at it daily in order for growth, strength, and balance to happen!

It depends on the coaching, leading, and teaching style a leader chooses to embrace and relate to, which will determine the type of leadership style they possess.

Knowing your leadership style can help:
- improve your skills
- be a more effective leader
- identifying strengths and weaknesses
- improve your communication level
- and more!!

🗣🗣🗣🗣 Which leadership style do Y.O.U relate to most?

Coach Hawk - "I mostly relate with the servant leadership style method. I enjoy helping others find their "why." My purpose for leading is to serve others while also motivating and inspiring. However, right along side servant leadership, I, too, relate to transformational leadership. Transformational leadership starts with the 'man in the mirror'. Starting with transforming yourself, your thought process, your decsion making, your ex*****on, etc. This is a daily effort and discipline."

Talk about "good times"!

was lit! Many speaker panels and workshops to attend with a wellness center and chance to do yoga, breathwork, sound bathe healing, body stretching, and more!

It was such a blessing to be able to host a workshop and take time to build new connections with like-minded Melanin folk!

Houston, Y.O.U will be missed! I thank Y.O.U for the hospitality!
