Finally, some relief from the heat! 🌤️ The mornings here at Alpine Acres are cool and crisp again, which means it’s the perfect time to come see everyone. The animals are more active and out and about, enjoying the cooler air just as much as we are.
If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to visit, this is it. Come say hi to the herd, watch them graze and wander, and spend a little time somewhere quiet with some really good company.

At the farm, you can meet small cows, medium cows and huge cows. We have them all 🥰

Our geese love their ponds. It is always bringing us a smile to see them relaxing and content. When you visit, you can feed them and they will always come to meet you…
The heat is finally coming down, so bring a picnic and enjoy our animals, your ticket purchase goes directly to the care of our nearly 200 animals.

Our mini donkeys love Dan, one of our dedicated volunteers. They can’t wait for their walks. Visit today and meet Dan with our mini donkeys walking the pathways. You’ll see the other ones running around as well waiting for their turn. Their exercising ritual is starting to pay off. 🥰

As Dr. Blanche told us today, we’re running a hospice care facility. So many of our residents are getting old, and with age comes a lot of ailments — arthritis, cancer, and most disturbing, the unknown health issues. The ones where we don’t know what to do.
Yoda, our oldest mini horse, probably in her late twenties, is losing weight, and apart from Cushing’s, we haven’t found anything yet. Today Dr. Blanche did another blood test and sonogram that weren’t conclusive. Hopefully the new blood test will give us some answers.
She also saw Rick, Chia, Walnut, Precious, and Mike. Vacita will need surgery once the weather cools down. Rick and Chia are on new anti-inflammatory medication for their joints, and Mike will get additional supplements to help manage the side effects of his tumor.
