Father's Day is right around the corner, and if you're struggling to come up with a gift idea, we've got one.

Instead of another tie, coffee mug, or gadget he'll use twice, give him something to look forward to. Bets for Pets returns August 22 at Showdown Social in Alpharetta, and tickets are on sale now.

The evening will feature casino games, cocktails, an auction, music, puppies, and a whole lot of fun, all benefiting the homeless dogs and cats in our care.

Early bird pricing ends June 15, so now is a great time to lock in your tickets and save.

Who doesn’t love a short-legged, long-body, smiley pup? Just look at this guy! Even in the shelter he still put on a happy face. Surely you have a smile just looking at him. Kielbasa Sausage is his Angel name. One look at this picture and Angels had to pull him, 34 pounds of love!

He’s safe at his foster home but he needs to get his vetting up to date and have his neuter to ready him for adoption. If you’re still smiling (or not), hit the like button and leave a comment. Three lived. One died in the shelter.

Luke had to stay at the emergency vet for weeks. You can imagine the bill. But today, he is in his foster home, playing like the puppy he is.

He is still so very thin. Parvo took a lot from him, but it did not take his life.

We can’t thank Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty & Emergency enough. They worked nonstop to make sure Luke would get the chance to grow up and become someone’s beloved pet.

When Luke’s time comes one day, many years from now, to leave his forever family, it won’t be because of parvo.

Because of Angels, his foster family, all three of the foster homes, our vet team, and the emergency vet, Luke and his siblings got their miracle.

We don’t know why they received so few donations. The bill is thousands. But that’s okay. Their lives are priceless.

After seeing their precious faces, we would be eternally grateful if you would donate. This is a happy ending — and we need happy endings.

Well Simon isn't! He would like to humbly ask for you to send him and his fellow fosters some food from our wishlist. Adult dog food and puppy dog food is needed to help keep our dogs well fed.

Raise your hand if you are familiar with the name Charlie Bucket? ✋Sound familiar?

Charlie Bucket is a kind-hearted character in the beloved children's book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. Of course, this was also adapted into a wildly popular movie called W***y Wonka and the Chocolate Facotory. 🍫

In the book, Charlie is a poor but his luck turns around when he gets the golden ticket to visit the chocolate factory. We're sure most of you are very familiar with this but we're giving you a little referesher to introduce you to one of our newest Angels, Charlee Bucket! 🎫

We think being with us is kind of like winning the golden ticket. Leaving the shelter life and going to a loving foster home is definitely worth celebrating! 🎉

Drop Charlee Bucket a comment and let him know you are all celebrating him. Of course, we always need donations for all of our animals. Charlee will need basic care including vaccinations and he needs to be neutered which costs approximately $500. We are grateful for any amount towards his care. 🙏

Found as a stray, Chicky Nugget is wondering what happened to the world he knew and what will his world look like in the future. Angels just pulled him from the shelter a couple days ago. He’s tired from lack of sleep in the shelter. All the noise kept him on edge and he worried about what would happen to him.

But, now he’s in a foster home and time will show him what is in store. His foster will help calm his nerves and show him only love and a forever is in store.

Meet NeeDoh.
Apparently the viral NeeDoh toys are impossible to find right now, so may we interest you in a slightly wobbly 13-pound Chihuahua mix instead?

This NeeDoh came to us after his owner passed away, along with several other chihuahuas, and he has already been through a lot. Since arriving, he’s needed extensive medical care, including surgery, diagnostics, x-rays, neuter surgery, medications, and boarding. So far, his medical costs are already around $1,400.

The good news is that he’s recovering well and has completely charmed the staff at our partner vet. He waddles around with his goofy little wobble, wants attention from every person he sees, and somehow manages to look confused and hopeful at the same time.
