Earlier this month, Midland County hosted a back to school health fair for families preparing for the upcoming school year.
NEMCSA was proud to help coordinate and serve the families and children who attended the event!

Last week, our Port Huron Early Childhood Center celebrated its Grand Opening ahead of the start of its first full school year under NEMCSA management! The event brought together community leaders, local organizations, and members of the community to celebrate this exciting milestone, with remarks from Port Huron Mayor Anita Ashford and representatives from State Representative Pavlov’s and U.S. Representative Lisa McClain’s offices.

Guests had the opportunity to tour the facility, explore the classrooms, and learn more about the services we provide to children and families. Thank you to our Port Huron staff for making the event a success and helping lay the foundation for a wonderful school year ahead!

Congratulations to one of our Regional Managers, Stephanie, and our Education Specialist, Andrea, who both graduated from the Michigan Community Action Leadership Development Institute last week!

Their graduation ceremony was held as part of the Michigan Community Action Conference in Kalamazoo, where community action agencies from across the state came together to share ideas and celebrate the accomplishments of their staff.

Congratulations, Stephanie and Andrea, on this well-earned achievement!

Last week, our Area Managers from every region came together for a two-day leadership retreat in Ga***rd, focused on strengthening their leadership skills and preparing for the upcoming school year. Although their time together was brief, it was filled with progress, connection and fun memories!

📍 Stop #3 – Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency (NEMCSA)
Our third stop brought us to Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency (NEMCSA), one of Michigan's largest Head Start grantees. NEMCSA provides Head Start services across 21 Michigan counties, operating 61 centers and serving more than 1,700 children and families. Their reach across both rural and urban communities reflects an incredible commitment to ensuring every child has access to high-quality early learning opportunities.

Thank you to the NEMCSA team for your warm hospitality and for sharing the incredible work you're doing every day. We enjoyed learning more about your program and the impact you're making for children and families across such a large portion of Michigan.
